    Report on-board Sea Urchin IIl

    Plenty of space on deck today, with only six anglers on. The weather conditions were far from ideal and not exactly as forecasted (no change there then!).

    We went off to fish on the wrecks, using the tide to head down past Robin Hoods Bay. The first wreck produced a couple of Codling and a couple of Coalie’s, but we moved on to try and find more consistent action. As it turned out, none of the wrecks produced a bumper crop today, with only one Ling caught all day just into double figures and Codling up to 6lb 8oz, plus the usual Whiting and Pouting.

    Squid on Pennel set up’s with an orange muppet did the lion share of the fish, but baited Hokkai’s did pinch a few. It was difficult presenting the bait today, and keeping it static long enough for the fish to find it was key. Not every session can be a red letter day, but the lads on board stuck to the task at hand. Thanks for coming lads, much appreciated. See you next time.
