    Report on-board Sea Urchin III

    Certainly doesn’t feel like March again today!!

    Another beautiful day; out with a great bunch of lads. After the recent poor fishing, we decided to stop inside (despite the smaller tides) and have a mixed day. We fished at anchor on the flood tide, then drifted a few wrecks when we lost the tide; finishing off with the anchor down on the Ebb tide.

    First stop was fairly good, with plenty of bites from Codling and a fair few Doggies. We only took a Ling and a Codling off the wrecks we visited, then picked off some more Codling and Doggies, plus Lobsters on the Ebb tide in the afternoon.

    The fishing was far from brilliant, but everyone got a few fish, which was an improvement on the last two days. This was definitely a day for “anglers”…..not those who come to fill the freezer.

    The lads were brilliant company and I thoroughly enjoyed the day.
