    Report on-board Sea Urchin IIl

    Today was the inaugural trip of the “Coffin Dodger’s Cod Tours”……Apparently they’re too old for a Saga Holiday!! A great group of lads who fish with me regularly. We decided to have a run off and fish a few wrecks, using the Ebb tide to our advantage.

    First drift saw three nice Codling come up and that pretty much continued throughout the remainder of Ebb. The best drift saw six fish come up and whilst we didn’t find anything big, our best Codling weighed a touch over 6lb, with plenty of nice pan sized fish.

    Squid on bait traces with muppets accounted for the majority, although a few fish did come to black and red Jellies.

    It was great to see a few fish back on the wrecks, hopefully a sign of some good sport to come. Thanks to everyone for a brilliant day out, really enjoyed the company and banter.
