    Report on-board Sea Urchin IIl

    Today was a day of mixed fishing; split between drifting rough ground and wrecks. With the tide being on the large side, we could only drop on a wreck when it eased down at slack water.

    Starting off on the rough ground at 7 miles, we had three drifts for only a couple of small fish. With the light winds, the boat drift was slower than expected, so we went to have a go on a wreck.

    This turned out to be much more productive, with a couple of Codling a drift coming up on squid baited muppets. The biggest fish falling to Dave Williams at just shy of 6lb.

    Once the Ebb Tide got going we moved back to the rough ground at nine miles, where we picked away with Codling and a few Whiting for the remainder of the day.
    Hokkai’s baited with Squid were the order of the day on the ground.
