    Report on-board Lady Louise

    Courtmacsherry Angling Centre

    Hi All,
The season for visiting groups of fishermen from overseas is drawing to a close and the last group we had at Courtmacsherry was a party of anglers from Boulogne sur mer in France. The weather was unsettled but we still managed to get out shark fishing and caught blues to 2.2m.the heaviest caught by Christian Chantry,a Blue of 1.7m for Claude Friscourt and a blue of 2m for Dominic Grenier. No Luck with the skate ,we have found that you need calm to moderate conditions for skate fishing. On the inshore reefs we had good sport using jellies and live bait with good Pollack to 10lbs ,cod to 12lbs medium coalfish and ling to 14lbs.We managed to get to the wrecks on one occasion and had 30 ling to 15lbs,cod to 12lbs,conger to 30lbs,Inshore we had a go at the Bass with live sandeel and I landed 2 Bass to 5lbs but they were the only fish we aw in 4hrs of fishing.
A Dublin group fished on the Lady Louise last Sunday the 16th October,we started first on the inshore reefs were we caught plenty of mackerel, loads of joeys which we kept alive, good Pollack, and coalfish. The weather was light sw so we deceided to head off to a wreck some 20mls hopefully for bigger fish.Using live bait on flowing traces, and strips with jellies we caught Pollack,Cod to 9lbs, Ling to 10lbs,Haddock to 4lbs and conger to 15lbs,
    Regards Mark.
