Report on-board Flamer IV
Again very unseasonal weather forced plenty of cancellations of trips but when we did get out the fishing was very good.Good fishing on the reefs for Black Bream,Bull Huss,Congers,Tope,Rays and the occassional Cod.This year has been prolific for the amount of Undulate rays caught on a variety of marks. The offshore wrecks produced Pollack,Ling,Cod and Bass. A steady run of Brill and Turbot on the famous Shambles Bank. The Plaice fishing on the mussel beds just keeps on going with plenty being caught and up to 5Ib plus, perhaps the way the weather is the Plaice still think it's Spring. The 2007 Flamer species now stands at 50 , including a Connemarra Sucker a first for/on Flamer.
