    BASS BASS BASSS BASS BASS BASS BASS BASS
    Well its that time of the year again where we go targeting the bass and large smooth hounds that move through our area during the warmer months. The early bass fishing (May) we find lug baits the best. Even fishing with a single worm can be deadly, and obviously crab baits will always work well on the rocky ground around the Foreland. From May onwards, the mackerel sholes arrive and this being the best bait for larger fish a live mackerel fished on a flowing trace can easily produce fish up to 15lb from our shores. (Please check out the top gallery for bass catches last year.) The smooth hounds will also be arriving shortly. Crab baits, squid and lug will easily catch these hard fighting fish.
