    Report on-board Bad Boyz VI

Another good mixed day starting on many of great reefs holyhead has to offer, Wrasse was a target for the morning session which seemed to go down well with a few new species die the lads on board especially the beautiful male Cuckoo Wrasse! Other catches on the reefs included plenty of Pollack and Coalies to 3lb along with the odd Codling and lonesome single mackeral!
Once the tide started to ease we called lines in, Boat put up to speed and wreck selected, one that I hasn't fished for a few years so eager to say the least!
8 sausage and egg sandwiches later and it was time for the first drift, good speed 2.1kts......Fish on!! What every skipper likes to hear, 5 fish to be exact to the first drift and so it continued for the following hour best fish going to 7lb and average 4lb not whoppers but great sport nevertheless!
Once the tide had eased further time soon approached to get the anchor down so a quick move to the side of the wreck, Anchor down, Baits down, Fish on straight away, A Tope of 21lb this was soon followed by a Spurdog at 13lb but unfortunately a quiet spelt with only doggies followed until after slack which the kids produced another Spurdog of similar size and a single huss.
A good day all round with enough time for brews, butties, hotpot, walnut cake and Cherry sponge cake!
Nice to see a Mersey hounds species cards making a show for the new species.
Ps.... Plus a few very red necks thanks to that sun
