    Report on-board Flamer IV

Did two days drifting two different banks and caught Turbot and Brill along with a few other species ie Blonde Ray,Gurnard, Lesser Weaver and the usual Dogfish. VIRGINS - Martin Smith was a Turbot and Brill virgin and was pleased as he caught both species, John Walsh from Southern Ireland was a Turbot virgin but not any more as he caught several, Nicholas Holden also caught his first ever Turbot.
SHARK ATTACK - Flamer IV regular Denise Youngs was trying to catch some fresh Mackerel for bait when she hooked some and was bringing them to the boat her rod bent over and then went slack then we saw a Shark thrashing around on the surface who had obviously grabbed the mackerel and half of Denise's Mackerel tinsel lures. A bit later the Shark was seen again following anglers baits up to the boat and the Shark was about 6 foot long. Pictured is John Walsh with a 5Ib 9oz Turbot.
