Great little day onboard Lady Ann of Ramsgate with the Lithuanian Massive who travelled travelled down from London. We planned to have a day of 2 halves but we had to much fun on the skate so we stayed kept few for there dinner as freezers empty after lockdown. What a brilliant crowd on today. Relief Skipper Dick put us on the fish and made a mean coffee very enjoyable in the sun shame the wind didn't drop but 12 skate in total and 1 hound but couple PB's broken so happy days. Let's hope for better things to come, so nice to be back .taking bookings onboard Lady Ann of Ramsgate message Dawn on 07854 7723 14. Everything supplied rods bait hopefully peelers, if not worms. Had a quick run out today with my mechanic to try and have a tinker with new turbo unit, ended up with 20 skate biggest skate went 10.5 lb but more to the point 2 small hounds on lug. Happy days . A hard days fishing with windy conditions limiting spots still managed to wangle few small hounds a chunky bass .A big thank you to the Luton massive what a cracking bunch you were. Picture is Dina Diana with a decent hound, she took no prisoners pushing the fellas out of the way when she had a fish on ! The boys were bored of the normal so took a gamble for some mixed fish .Good day even better company now 2hrs steam to get home happy days today with the Wetherspoons trouble makers.
Vernon had a nice 2lbd Lobster caught on Herring that went straight back as she was full of eggs. -

Long day today, weather was fine so we went on a sail about, three different marks and it really paid off. Day started well with Lydia and Dad Val double hook up with in 10 mins of fishing and the day just got better and better, See photo. Later Lydia boated a 12lbder a PB for her.

What a day started off on the skate managed over 20 then decided to go and have a look for some silver bars, first drop on feathers a 6lb and a 7 lb bass so job done move to the hound spot Wayne Leadbetter wanted to try and beat his pb so we fished hard through the flood. I told him not to panic yet tide eased and a numerous doubles came out but then BANG a massive run and a 15 .5 lb female heavily pupped so quick weigh and photo and straight back in and 2 min later the special rod with special bait went off we knew this was the one after a long fight on light tackle we landed her 19 5 lb. Job done pb smashed for life methinks.

Another fine day for some free fishing for one of our regular punters. We steamed out to the chalk ledges off Thanet and baited up, a few smaller fish to start with and then the big girls came out to play.. Biggest of the day went to Steven Hayes with a magnificent beast of 19 lbds exactly. Your truly also weighed in with a decent 16lbder.

More from our maintenance trip Sunday, Dave Warmans pants were alight and so was his rod, he had a double hook up and landed these two beauties at 7 and 8 lbds .they were coming up 2 at time on the first run of the flood tide, bait was peeler. After a long time sitting tied up, I fitted two new batteries and decided to have a sea trial to make sure everything was working ok after the boat sitting so long. Took a crewman with me for safety reasons. The weather was glorious with little wind after weeks of a strong N Easterly.
We had redone all the reels with new line so testing was in order in very short time Crewman Dave boated a 10lbd Smoothound followed by yours truly with a 9 lbder see photo.
So its all looking good for the big day when normal chartering can resume.
