Tricky conditions today lack of tide boat swinging on anchor still managed 20 Skate and few hounds plus a Bass and the dreaded whiting. Excellent day with amazing group even with me trying to retrieve tackle around anchor rope. The skate were flying up today these 2 came up together nice to see, both returned to fight another day. Good sign of Smoothounds as well around the 6 to 8 lb mark, some good fishing this week.

A mixed day today plenty of small skate hard work trying to find better stamp of fish but nice to see a codling and a small Bass that was David's first ever Bass. All ways a good feeling and saw our first proper whiting maybe this winter won't be to bad.

A very hard day's fishing today to much ground swell to push off and anchor. Found a few hounds on the crab but the highlight of the day were the hot dogs, wish I had taken pics but they ate them to fast. Thanks boys and girls for fun day.

Another good day for Skipper Dick certainly put the boys on the fish. And winning fish of the month so far is Les with a 17lb hound which was released as full of pups found a few more better skate today.

Another good day with good company, Paul 'Beaver' Beavis taking the pot as usual. Stef was using 2 rods and he picked the wrong rod but still had a smoothound of 12. 2 lb and a skate of 6 lb in all a very good day and a couple of firsts for Ricky Moon and Lee Moon on the Smoothound. What a brilliant bunch of lads I had on today and the fish showed up to play. Lee started the proceedings with his first Smoothound of 12.4 lb and followed it up with a 8 lb fish then we had a flurry of hounds for the next 3 hrs boating over 20 hounds in there 3 doubles. Then the tide blew us out and a quick move out of tide produced another 3 smaller hounds and 2 skate biggest going 9.5 lb another fish that Dave hadn't caught before all in all such a good day and banter can't wait to see you all again but the star of the show was young George who caught his first Smoothound and what a credit to his Mum and Dad he was a legend picking crabs for his Grandad and brothers then skippering the boat all way back to harbour and berth thank you George. A day of 2 halves skate,skate and more skate to begin with then we moved to the chalk ledges and saw some amazing hounds onboard. Its not very often the punters tell you they have caught to much can we go home and have a pint please. Plenty of May weed about to alarm non seaside people !! Lady Ann of Ramsgate found the hounds and it looks like they have turned up in numbers now. Some good fishing to be had, Skipper Dick had a hectic day on deck with over 20 Smoothounds coming on board.

Another good day for 2nd Skipper Dick today, unfortunately only skate again the hounds didn't want to play but good day looking at the lads faces they all got slightly sunburnt when they came in and had sneaky beer in Spoons before setting off home, happy anglers. .
