First day back at sea yesterday after lockdown.
A reasonably steady day on the cod. Most of the fish coming from one wreck 8 miles from shore.
Paul from Bridlington taking the best catch with 10 fish for himself. I managed 10 fish myself too.
The majority of the fish caught on the shads.
Room for 4 anglers this coming Sunday!

A window in all this crappy weather on Friday and what a lovely day at sea.
Rich Kitchen and 3 of his mates joined us and enjoyed a cracking day on the cod on Friday.
We picked away all day at just one wreck 10 miles from Whitby and the lads ended up with around 50 fish for themselves.
I managed a good dozen or so too for the table.
An very enjoyable day with some great sport.
The shads and sidewinders taking plenty of fish with the water clarity perfect. Squid also taking some fish.

A nice day at sea today (bar the heavy belts of rain!)
The mackerel are still showing well on the 9 mile and are coming up in good numbers. Some big ones too today.
We fished the 9 mile ground all day and the mixed group ended up with 30 odd keepers.
Best fish fell to regular angler Bill Barraclough from Barnsley. A nice Ling of 10lb 2oz caught on the squid bait. Bill ended up with 9 fish for the day.
Chris Siddle managing similar himself with ling to just over 9lb.
The weather looking rubbish for the next few days so time for a beer or 2 !!

Nice day on the water today apart from the rain!!
Still plenty of mackerel on the 7 mile stream and some nice fishing again on the 9 mile.
Chris Siddle gathering the best bag with 12 fish for himself for the day.
Best fish of the day falling to Darren Bradley with a nice ling of 13lb 8oz.
Baited rigs doing the best again.

Last trip out was last Tuesday.
The fishing wasn't anything startling but with a lot of effort from all the lads we managed to boat around 25 fish for the day.
Best fish on the day was a nice plump cod of 9lb 8oz caught by me! Makes a change!!!!!

The fishing remains nice and steady at the moment for the anglers on the Shy-Torque III and with the tides bearing off to the neaps now I'm hoping for a few better fish to start poking their noses out!!
Most of the fish are coming from the ground on the 8 and 9 mile at the moment. The baited rigs doing the best.
Mark from Northallerton landing the best fish yesterday. A nice ling of 16lb 13oz.

Some nice steady fishing for the lads on our last couple of trips out on Thursday and Friday.
The ground on the 9 mile producing quite well again with all the fish landed on the fresh mackerel and bait again.

Yesterday's trip.
After gathering enough mackerel for the day on the 7 mile run we played around on the ground on the 9 mile and stayed there pretty much all day.
The lads fished nicely throughout both tides and ended up with around 50 fish for the day. Ling to 11 lb and a nice few cod to the 5.5 lb mark.

Yesterdays trip was pretty good working the ground. 30 odd fish boated . Cod to 5 lb and ling to 9 lb. A few more haddock showing too.
All the fish caught on the baited rigs. Unwashed squid doing the best.

A nice day at sea yesterday working the grounds on the 9 mile.
Best rod for the day was Simon England with a dozen fish. Best fish on the boat was Jamie Thomson's ling of 10 lb.
Fresh mackerel (which we are still catching loads) was doing the damage.
