codling fishing is best ive seen for years upto 70+ fish a trip , putting on weight by the day with few 7lbers
mixed in , still fair skate fishing, plenty of spotty dogs in places,few whiting,
trawlers started getting lot of dabs and gurnards, could be well worth try on
small tides low water if it drops clear with smelly bl;acks or mackerel strip
semms best time and bait

Most of us cacelled today what with smallest tide of the year good drop of wind and no chance of getting on decent fishing and not wanting to take the pee out of our anglers but better tides next week looks ok

been having good mixed bag this last 2 weeks with
skate , cod ,codling,bass,hounds,eels,soles,whiting, dabs
and spottys, looking good ?

long time no write
well summer has been kind to us with not many cancelled trips,
summer fishing has been good but mixed up lots of thorn backs
then into good bass fishing in april /may/june , tope started good
but soon disappeared as did the mackrell, hounds have been ok
with some very good fishing at the end although still odd ones about
main catches at mo are skate, bass, spottys odd hound odd codling
looking forward to some better bass and start of the cod ,

its the end of april an a busy skate month still the odd cod to be had , few hounds apearing , also 6 lg tope been caught in close which is early , out today and a fair day bass fishing with 43 fish 1.5--3.5 lb mark yet another good sign, heard of mackrel and garfish from southend pier, for a nice change its all looking good . tigh tlines chris

when will this f-----g wind stop ?
on the good side the fishing has been good when weve made it out there
with nice showing of codling 2-4lb and several skate still about quite a few double figuers,
also best showing of 6-8 inch codling for several years about so looks good for the future ?

the cod are improving by the day loads of whiting ,ok skate fishing , and after the next set of big tides im sure the better cod will show ??

skate fishing is excellent this year , bass coming regular most trips and hound fishing coming on good and with a few tope showing there heads now , not many mackrel yet as the water clears i am shore this will improve what with a few eels and flatties each trip things are looking good , cant say much good about the weather just hope it settels down soon. tight lines chris

mid febuary and still catching good numbers of cod mainly 2-4lbs with catches between 20-50 fish
a day and just a few skate showing, not the sprats or herring about that we had last spring to bring the fish up in the water so march and april should see skate and cod improving in numbers

coming to the end of september and the smoothounds are leaving us but the cod are just starting to show
with some smaller ones inshore and better stamp of fish ofshore, still some nice bass coming out and thornbacks increasing in numbers as are the whiting ,got good signs for a good cod season lets wait and see, tight lines chris .
