This report covers 3 days fishing very poor results with only Whitings and Dabs showing there are so many herring in the water it seems the cod are not interested in the baits that we are putting down,we shot our herring net to get some fresh fish baits it was only in the water for a max 10mins and we had 8 stone not bad if you like them,Saturday the herring were jumping out of the water all around us thankyou all lets hope we get a spring run,Brian.

Friday 8th Feb weather was a bit scruffy so we went to my least favorate place had a good look round with the tide easing i said to the Karl and his mates ive got the spratt & herring nets ready to go to see if we can get some fresh fish bait after 40mins we hauled the nets back in no spratts and only 3 herring the sounder was showing that the fish were staying at the 20ft mark and not rising,we kept in the area and finished up with 3 spraggs and a bunch of whiting,Saturday 9thFeb With a good forcast showing it was time to get away from the North Roads to see if we could find some fish of respectable size,ran out to the south holm bank for the last 2hrs of the flood had a good look around with plenty of marks showing we decided to have a go plenty of whiting and a few dabs on both tides for Nick and his freinds but no cod today this seems to be the general situation some days they are in an area and the next day they have moved off but we will keep looking its one of those seasons,look forward to seeing you all again soon,Special mid week deal on through February till the end of March 2013 fill the boat with 6 people on a trip and only pay for 5, Brian.

With a strong westerly forcast we fished the north roads with Peter and his friends loads of marks on the sounder but only whiting today there is so much natural feed in the water the cod are not feeding on our baits,we fished our second LT Small Boat Owners match today as well and out of 5 boats and 24 anglers only 7cod were brought to the scales, results were first place went to Sam who fished aboard Whitby Quest 11lb.1oz cod that was the only fish they caught,Second place went to Colin who fished aboard his own boat Ledus 4lb.6oz cod,and third place went to Kerin who fished aboard LT Provider 3lb.7oz cod, my thanks to all who entered and look forward to seeing you all again when we do the next match in March around the 17th or 24th for full details call me if you would like to enter,Brian.

Very poor fishing 17/01 ran out to the pinneys then the 5mile bank nothing showing on the sounder so decided to come inside to the e/barnard plenty of whiting but no cod today dont think we will get out at w/end due to 4cast,Brian/Paul.

Fished the roads today until the tide started to flood then ran back to the s/holm for the last hour, fishing was fair to begin with 6 cod in the roads up 4lb plus 2 that went back plenty of whiting as well,s/holm very poor with 2 dabs only,there is a lot of spratts all over at the moment the cod are feeding in all depths of water but not a lot on the bottom only around the slack water times,well done lets hope we can get out at the weekend to some of the outer marks and find some decent sized fish,Brian

This report covers 4 trips starting with 3/1/2013 had a run out on the pinneys today bit lumpy we had 2 cod a 7lb and 13lb 2 bites 2 fish and that was it/friday 4th jan had a good look out side the e/newcom and the bank no cod today only whitings/sat fished in the n/roads loads of whiting and 3 cod/sunday ran out to the 6mile bank 1xcod 11.5lb on slack water for Mathew finished up off the holm bouy with a few whiting,thanks once again chris/gary for your help on friday morning see you all again soon every one, Brian

Not a great day to be at sea with a strong ssw wind sturring things up it was hard work to keep your balance but we stuck at and ended up with 2 cod and a nice lot of whiting to take home the roads helped us again,well done you boys and lets hope the next trip is a bit calmer,dont for get the cod compertion is in full swing for your chance of a £100,and we are now doing our loyalty cards do 4 trips and get the 5th free in a year, next boat match 27th Jan 2013 have a good new year every one,Brian/Paul.

Very poor forcast so headed to the roads with not a bad result we finished up with 6 cod to 4lb plenty of good sized whiting as well i was hoping to get out on to one of the banks like a freind of mine did he finished up with 9 cod the biggest coming at 18lb they were well chuffed he said conditions were far from good lets hope the weather is better for us on the 28th and 30th when the next trips are i will be out there hoping to get a lunker,have a great xmas every one and look forward to seeing you all in the new year Brian/Paul

Chris and his freinds picked a good day for a trip with light winds and a bit of sunshine forcast what more could you ask for,we ran out off the holm sands as this mark has been very good to us in the past but with fishing in general at presant its a bit of a lottery,we had a lot of whiting and Harry latched into a cod of 4lb at the start of the flood that was the only one to come to the boat but that is fishing it seems this pattern is all along the coast,the cod will turn up in force very soon if past years are to go by from my log books,our coast line is changing daily the herring & sprats that the cod feed on this time of year have been staying well off but are now moving inside so get ready iam sure this will happen in the next few weeks,well done you boys have a great xmas and look forward to seeing you all in the new year,Brian/Paul.

This report covers Sat/Sun 15/16th Sat sea was a bit lumpy so kept inside fished the n/roads to get a bit of lee plenty of whiting for sam and his mates and 3 spraggs for good measure bit of weed on the ebb but thats what you get in this area after a good blow well done you boys see you again soon/Sun16th was much the same but did manage to get chris and his mates out to a mark that has fished very good this season but with the big tides fishing proved to be patchy plenty of whiting but only one 4lb cod appeared this seams to be the norm at the moment but who knows 2 days time we could be baging up thats fishing,we are now started to run loyalty cards every 4th trip you get the 5th trip free this starts from the first of January2013 and dont forget we are still running the Cod comp £100 first prize,good luck and have a great xmas Brian/Paul.
