After a few days away it was back to fishing, with the party on the boat by 8.00am and my grand son as co pilot it was off to the newcom bank as i had herd it had started to fish again and my information source was not wrong,not great numbers of fish but the fish we did catch were in very good condition,we finished up with 3 nice sized rooker and 5 big hounds with one fish being lost dont know what it was but i am sure it was a big hound or may have been a tope as it broke us off could not do any thing with it i think it had made its mind up that it was not coming to the boat,well done all and hope you enjoy your fish at The Sailors Home Kessingland tonight,Brian.

Took birthday boy out for a trip with the children a few fish not the ones we wanted to see but the weather was good and the company great sorry its a bit late with the picture Antony had a problem with the camra,BP.

With the winds that weve had this last week we have been a bit limited were we could fish but the partys done ok plenty of Fat Dabs to keep you busy and of course the Spotty Dogs with the odd Spiky showing the best was 4lb still a few Whiting around as well Cod are a bit thin on the ground we may get a few more before they take off for the summer,i am now starting my evening trip leaving around 17.00--17.30 and back in again 21.30--22.00,call for full details Brian,07771926590.

Plenty of summer fish now showing with the best so far is a 15lb8oz Blond that Martin added to his trophy collection,dont miss the chance of some lovely Rooker for your table and some other species that are around at the moment with 3 trips last week and were all different as the tides increased the fishing slowed up which is unusual for this time of the year its a funny old game just cant put your finger on it.BP.

Another great days fishing on Lowestofts top angling boat,with 3 Cod today between 6lb and 10lb8oz the best fish of the day coming into Yan off the Newcom bank with a few decent Whiting as well to take home,well done you boys i hope you enjoy your catch,BP.

Took the party on Saturday 5th out to the Newcom we had 4 Cod best going a bit over 7lb until the weather beat us at 1pm we had to come back inside for the last 2hrs and finish the trip off the Claremont with plenty of Whiting and a few Dabs to keep every one busy this mark has never disappointed me it always comes up with fish,i hope you boys enjoy your fish and look forward to seeing you again soon,Brian

We finally got out to our better marks that we use this week on 24th/25th/26/ with some great fishing the big Cod have started to show,on Wednesday 24th we had 10 Cod for a total weight of just over 100lb and the best coming in at 18lb on the nose to Trevor,Thursday 25th was not so good with only 2 Cod boated the best touching 8lb and 3 dropped on the way in,Friday 26th we had 4 Cod the best was 15lb.8oz things have started to improve and the Cod will now move inside a bit to feed up before going off for the summer so if you want a chance of a decent Cod get booked in before they go again,Brian.

Took the boys from Access on Wednesday 20th Jan with conditions just about perfect i ran off to one off my offshore marks got the anchor in just as the tide started to ebb about 9.00am bit slow off at first with a few good size Whiting coming into the boat it was Duggie that got the first Cod a nice fish of 5lbs he was pleased it was a bit of a waiting game until Dave decided to drop a bait right beside the boat with the tide nearly finished it was a good choice he had a cracking bite after a few minutes in the water but he thought one of the others was pulling him in but no this was a good fish i got the net to it and straight onto the scales 9lb12oz what a lovely fish it puts him into the lead in my competition that i run,that was the only two Cod we had well done boys and see you all soon,BP.

Not the best of conditions for today's trip 6th Jan for Mike and his friends as we headed out of the entrance it was looking considerably worse than expected with the sea running in from the North East creating a massive swell so a quick change of plans i headed South and sat off the ministry with still a big swell in there we managed to get a few small Whiting with the prospect of getting Cod with the sea crashing over the bank and so we did Kyle got into a nice fish coming in at 62cm 5lb7oz we had a couple of spottys as well and only managed 1 fat Dab well done you boys for sticking it out see you all soon and lets hope for some better conditions,Brian.

The last two trips out have been mixed bags With some decent Cod showing it has brightened the prospects up for the coming season and my 2016 Heaviest COD competition and at just £2.00 to enter and a chance to win a £100 and a free trip out, the two best fish so far have been 6lb and 7lb respectively with a few smaller ones running with them,for some reason were still getting the odd Rooker and a few Spotty Dogs plus a multitude of Whiting and some nice fat Dabs,The weather has been against us for the last few days and the trips had to be canceled but i am sure when the chance arises to get out to some of our marks on the banks we will find some Doubles have a great new year all and look forward to see some familiar faces in 2016,Brian/Paul.
