Had some great fishing again this week which is unusual for August!
Getting just enough Mackerel and Scad for bait.There has been plenty of Congers, Rays, Small Bream , Gurnards plus the odd bonus Bass and Turbot including this beauty caught by Andy Simpson at 10lb exactly! For the Species hunters we have also had Thick lipped Mullet to 5lb and decent Flounder.
In the Piscary species hunt Ray Barron is still in the lead on 37 , Darren Phillips is 2nd on 31 ,Nick Lark and Andy Pedon are joint 3rd on 30. Next available date with spaces is the 28th of August.Doing the 1st Sole trip on Saturday the 2nd of September. Despite the very strong westerly winds this weekend the fishing has been unbelievably good for the time of year.On Saturday I had the latest Kings Arms Southampton Match they had a very respectable 19 species including the first ever Pandora Bream caught John Bellamy this is the first one we have ever had in Piscary! First on the day with 13 species and absolutely smashing it was Chris Super Rod Rogers with 348 points!
2nd Richard Dicky Day 245
3rd John Bellamy 243.
No quite so windy on Sunday which meant we managed to get quite a few mackerel for bait .22 species on the boat including quite a few Rays , The first Thick lipped Mullet of the year caught by Jay Hemming bringing the boat species tally for this year up to 53 and a new Piscary record Red Mullet of 1lb 12oz caught by Kim Andrews.
Next available date for individuals is Monday the 28th . Due to high levels of enquiries I'm only taking enquiries by text or WhatsApp message during office hrs only 9am till 6pm!

Fishing this week has been as unpredictable as the weather.Had 1 match on the boat this week The Swan Kings Clear had a difficult day due to the strong Northwest Wind.Only 8 species on the boat loads of Bream but a bit on the small side,Loads of Congers and just a few Plaice.1st on the day was Mark (Rambo) Stillings 135 points
2nd Little Willy 129.
3rd John (Yorkie) Winter.
On the pleasure trips this week inshore we have had some nice Bass , plenty of Bream, Rays, Mackerel, Scad and Gurnards.
offshore there has been loads of big Tope, Congers, Bullhuss, Blonde Rays and Bonus Turbot! There is 1 space on the boat this Sunday the 13th but it does look a bit breezy.
After that the next day with spaces is the 17th .

3 matches on Piscary again this week.On Thursday the strong Westerly winds meant that we had to start in the harbour but this made for a great start to the day with 12 species by 10.00 am with the flood tide we managed to get out into the bay where the fishing continued to be very good ended up with 23 species on the day .
1st on the day was Steve Harder with 286 points
2nd Kim Bowden 263
3rd Ray Barron 262
On the second day the forecast was meant to deteriorate so we fished the same marks but the opposite way round totally different day still had 23 species again but no where near the numbers.
1st on the day was Darren Phillips on 242 points
2nd Mike Fox 226
3rd Paul Hollyoake 214
After 5 matches and dropping 1
Darren Phillips and Ray Barron are joint at the top with 35 points
Steve Harder is 3rd with 34 points.
Next it was the Friday evening league very poor turn out again with only 5 from the original 10 making it although we did have 2 stand ins
Once again we were forced to fish mostly in the harbour due to the weather conditions however we managed a very respectable 14 species .1st on the night was Stainless Steve Bachelor on 141 points

Despite the terrible weather the fishing this week hasn't been too bad for time of year, with most trips seeing plenty of Mackerel and Scad for bait and to take home for the BBQ . Also had some nice Bass,Bream
Rays, Plaice , loads of Congers,Tope, Silver Eels, Gurnards , Herring and even a Flounder! In the Piscary species hunt Ray Barron is still in the lead on 35, 2nd is Andy Pedon on 30 & Alan Bird is 3rd on 28, the boat tally now stands at 51. Not been out much this week due to the weather. When we have been out the fishing hasn't been that great however we have had some nice fish, still quite a few Mackerel enough for bait and a few to take home, lots of Bream but they are on the small side, some nice Rays, Congers,Tope, Plaice , Gurnards and the first Trigger fish of the year which is also a first for Roy Adams and a new Piscary Record at 5lb 7oz
This is the 51st species of the year.

Looking like I might be cancelling some trips over the next few days so would be interested in doing a trip on Monday the 17th . Despite the rubbish weather we have been getting a few nice fish plenty of Congers , Plenty of Bream but they are on the small side ,odd Bass , Gurnards, Rays and some really nice Plaice including this one caught by Gary Rook at 3lb 9oz . Two matches in Poole this week . First it was the Civil service finals with 30 anglers on 3 boats.Top 3 on each boat

4 Matches on the boat this week!
First it was the Thursday Super League They had a great day with 25 species on the boat more Rock Cooks, Big Smoothounds,Tope, Gurnards, Plaice, Rays and a Turbot.
1st on the day was Ray Barron with 326 points
2nd Steve Harder 263
3rd Matt Pitter 227
In the Friday it was a totally different day with the strong south west wind combined with the ebb tide making fishing very difficult, they only had 14 species although we did have 2 Turbot this time.1st on the day Richard Dicky Day with 218 points
2nd Darren Phillips 178
3rd Shaun Collins Lyndsey 146
Next it was the evening league & as the fishing was so difficult during the day I decided to stay in the harbour which seemed to pay off.With 11 species including Silver Eel, plenty of Wrasse, Plaice, Gurnard, Bream and Gilthead Bream. 1st was Martin Bobbet with 142 points

3rd Andy Pedon 122
Lastly it was the IBAC monthly Match.Once again the tide and conditions made for a difficult day, still managed 20 species on the boat including the first Couches Bream of the year caught by Kim Bowden.

Fishing has been a bit up and down over the past few days.On Friday we had great day lots of Rays,Tope , Smoothounds,, Congers,Bream and Gurnards.On Saturday it was similar but slightly harder to catch and on Sunday it was slightly harder again, however on Monday the fishing kicked right off again, very similar to Friday not quite so many Rays but bonus Turbot and Bass!
In the Piscary species hunt the boat tally for 2023 now stands at 49. Ray Barron is still in the lead on 31, Andy Pedon is catching him up on 29 and Alan Bird is 3rd on 25.
