Well close of another year been worst i have ever know firstly losing my beautiful Hayley only 51 years old to cancer in March words fail me to describe in writing how the loss feels , would like to express firstly my thanks to Martin Bishop for standing in and skippering throughout Hayleys treatment etc without him i would have closed the charters very much appreciated by myself and all who came on trips throughout that period. Secondly a big thank you to all the regulars on High Flyer 2 you know who you all are without your constant support we couldnt operate you all know how expensive it is to maintain a charter vessel, i feel we all have a great relationship onboard with constant banter back and forth despite hard fishing days mixed in with the good ones but as serious anglers we all understand our sport. As you know we have had to cancel trips this xmas till further notice law is one angler and the skipper which is ridiculous unless you feel flush give me a call!!!
As from next year i can confirm i have purchased local charter vessel Seaquest which will be going under few alterations to suit ourselves early in new year hopefully so will be running the two vessels giving different fishing options to suit budgets etc.
Will be concentrating next year on the summer tope as very popular already the upgraded reels and rods have arrived so looking forward to that, do get your name down on those tope tides well in advance.
So just leaves me to say happy new year to you all, can only get better stay safe everyone look forward to when we can go again .

As you all know Boris has locked us down till Dec 2nd hopefully that wont change if you want to book for trips in Dec no probs just have to play it by ear if the government change there minds. Sorry guys everything out of our hands!!! Stay safe stay home and annoy the wife she will be glad to get rid of you, so fishing wont be a problem!!!!!

Windy day yesterday managed to get out very weedy on the 4 mile mark only got few whiting no bass at all which we expected in last of the strong tides. Forced inshore usual whiting few decent ones among them usual spotty dogs of all sizes ended up with 9 thornbacks which saved the day most of them returned . Most enjoyable day despite the weather thanks for washing down guys made better job than i do. All the best.

Up to date reports been good on the tope this last few weeks biggest 55lb some cracking fish. weather turned easterly this week losing this weekend due to weather hopefully back out after the last few weeks of toping got few places Fri 25th Sep contact us if interested. Decent whiting on the inside with odd thornback thrown in and few spotty dogs. Website up to date looking forward to a cold winter hopefully bring on the cod. Till next time tight lines everyone. Few fish to bring us up to date Mon 7th Sep 2020 just been through big tides lots of weed fishing was reasonably difficult to be honest. Managed just one tope today , few codling usual pouting weavers etc, odd roker on the inside and smoothound still hanging in there. Out for tope most of this week keep you posted. Up to date been getting some nice smoothounds still, mackerel been a bit sparce this week as water went murky. Plenty of good size whiting close in , odd thornback now making a show still plenty of spotty dogs about. Managed to pick up some nice bass nothing huge but up to 7 lb . Sunday 26th July bringing reports up to date windy weather kept us inshore no chance of getting off. We caught decent whitting most of the day nice to see them actually kept us busy, few spotty dogs thrown in most on the small side. ended up with few smoothounds near end of the day which was a bonus. Couldnt catch a bass to save our lives today something was amiss no seals no seagulls bit of a strange one! Hoping these winds are going to ease next week got few tope sessions planned will keep you posted on here and our facebook page. Mon 3rd Aug is our next available space anyone interested. Bringing us up to date found few bass in these strong tides managed to get out while wind with tide then nip back inshore for wind against tide. Ending up with countless whiting odd smoothound and usual spotty dogs. Picture today of Ben Cole with 2 bass on one rig. Next week in the weaker tides out for tope mainly offshore keep you posted

Up to date been getting few bass sport should improve this week with stronger tides watch this space. Still getting smoothounds bit on the small side though, plenty of decent whiting inshore in the strong winds last few days. Mackerel making a show will be fishing for tope again next week when tides calm down. Picture today of Becky first time on High Flyer 2 on a lumpy day done ever so well. Keep u posted guys. 13th July few pictures from today best tope 30lb to Paul, nice to see the horse mackerel, odd decent mackerel to just under 2lb to Dave,enjoyable day with few small codling plenty of pouting mixed bag kind of day. Most enjoyable, Cheers guys
