June has been a fantastic month for us with many good size Cod about.

The heaviest cod this month was caught by Henry weighing 11 1/2 Lb. and the second heaviest was caught by Damien weighing 10lb 2oz. both fish were taken offshore on the wrecks.

this month we have also seen a few more mackerel showing but not in great numbers and still quite thin. We have also had several horse mackerel (Scads) aboard.

on the wrecks we have had several ling caught but they have only been relatively small around the 5-8lb area. hopefully next month we see a few bigger fish turn up.

both the inshore fishing and the offshore fishing have been fantastic this month.

If you would like a fishing trip from 3 to 10 hours in July please drop us a message via our website, www.skylarkfishing.co.uk, or a call on 07939 025881.

we are booking up fast this month so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Another great 6 hour trips offshore today with plenty of cod showing off ‪Scarborough‬.

Shads had the advantage for the first half of the trip, then hokkies and large feathers took the advantage in the second half.

Lots of strappy ling around with most been around 6 to 7lb.

Heaviest fish today was a cod just over 10lb caught by Damien. And overall we boated 78 cod and several whiting, mackerel, pollock and ling.

Weather was fantastic with a light breeze and we also got to see and hear the vulcan bomber display for the armed forces day on the south bay.

As the tides have eased off again we decided to have a go wreck fishing again.
Photos from our 6 hour trip today.

Fishing started from the first drift with double hook ups of cod and ling coming up from the start.
After a few hours fishing it slowed down and picked up again later on in the trip.
Many different species caught today with cod, Pollock, ling, whiting, red and gray gurnards, whiting, mackerel and pouting.
Fantastic weather and some fantastic fishing here at ‪Scarborough‬ at the moment.

8 hour trip Offshore Wrecking off Scarborough

First we traveled to the Northern wrecks off Hayburn wyke

Fishing started really slow this morning with only the odd fish coming up from the wrecks we then decided to work our way south with the wrecks only showing the occasional fish.

The fish were a good size but not many of them at this point, by the end of the trip we found a wreck that really produced well with 6 to 7 rods bending at the same time with some been good braces of cod, in no time the lads started filling up their fish boxes.

The weather was spot on most of the day, but unfortunately a heavy shower came in when the lads were on the fish so it didn't dampen their spirits.
