Report on-board Shy-Torque III
Some lovely fishing on the cod yesterday morning for the lads .
View Boats Page
The ground fishing the best for us.
My old mate Simon joined us for an unannounced run off which was good and he ended up with the best catch on the boat with a dozen lovely plump cod.
Returned back a bit early with the dreaded South Easterly pepping up in the afternoon which spoiled the drift.
Simon pictured inset with a few of his fish.
Cheers

Report on-board Sea Urchin IIl
With weather conditions being far from ideal, we had a pretty successful day on Sea Urchin. A swift start saw everyone off the mark on the first inshore wreck we visited.
View Boats Page
The average size of the Codling was around 3-4lb with a couple of 5’s and a 6 pounder thrown in for good measure.
After a quiet hour while the tide and wind were really pushing us through, we made a move to a small inshore wreck, ready for when things calmed down.
This turned out to be a great move as five rods out of six took fish on the first drift at the new wreck. We ran the wreck for an hour before coming home and the boys picked plenty of quality Codling off to take home. Enjoyable day, in great company.UPCOMING INDIVIDUAL SPACES ONBOARD Sea Urchin IIl

An enjoyable 3 or 4 hours ground fishing to start the day off with a good number of cod boated on the artificials and the baited rigs.
Vic Brucey taking the best cod of the day at a shade under 8lbs.
A very enjoyable day for one and all.
Cheers
Rich

Report on-board Lady Margaret
After an extended period with no fishing due to the lockdown it was great to get out to sea again. Both for the fishing and to be able to blast a bit of weed growth off the hull! Due to the restrictions I was just taking a single angler out so just two of us fishing.
View Boats Page
Inshore there are lots of plaice around. Mainly small fish but a few nice keeper sized fish as well. One memorable short drift produced eight fish. They are in excellent condition considering it is right at the start of the season.
During the middle of the month there was a period of calm weather coinciding with very small tides which are ideal for deep water anchoring. These produced a nice variety of fish. We caught lots of congers, smoothhound and a nice double figure undulate ray in addition to the ubiquitous dogfish and pouting. The spurdog fishing was slow but we did land fish to just under 17lb. -

This month has seen some good fishing. We have been fishing local marks at anchor. There have been some nice size blonde rays into the 20lb+ range, whiting, pouting, bass, congers and even a nice bonus brill for one lucky angler.

Closer in there have been lots of small bass. -

The trip was a slow and steady trip with a good south easlty then easterly wind. Unfortunalty this made fishing difficult for the anglers with a good amount of swell.

The lads still made the most of the conditions and ended up bagging a good amount of codling and a few pollock.
Always a pleasure and a good laugh been with the customers who have been coming with us for years and we have some good banter. Hopefully weather is on thier side for thier next trip with us
