Merry Christmas and a happy new year to every one !!!
After todays news it looks like my 2020 season has come to an end so my remaining 2020 bookings will have to be cancelled unfortunately due new covid 19 restrictions again!
I promise i will be back in action in 2021 as soon as restrictions get lifted.
I Just want to say a big thank you to all of you who come aboard over the last 10 years and supported me especially in these uncertain times thank you.
We had a fantastic 2020 season as always lots of laughs and lots of fish including many PBs lets hope 2021 is just as good or even better.
My 2021 diary is open and its filling nicely hope to see all new and returning customers next season until then stay safe everyone have a great Christmas regardless.
ps get ready for spring onwards when @dawn_tide_charters will be hitting the fishing hard !!!!!

Another cracking days fishing for the lads on Sea-Otter 2 , the weather has been up and down but when the weather lets we are taking advantage of some very nice fishing fish to 7-8 lb but plenty 3-6 lb .Loads more to come ��

A great day uptiding just half a mile from the harbour on Tuesday .
Cod averaging the 4 to 5lb mark. A mixture of baits used including squid, black lug, mussel etc...
Perry Franklin taking the best catch with around 12 fish himself.
Room for a couple on Tuesday next week then that will be it until after Xmas.

The fishing has been very good just lately with a run of small Cod to keep us all very happy with fish all between 2lb--4lb iam sure there will be some bigger fish show up very soon iam hoping to get out to the shoal as at this time of year we normally get those fish that we used to get 40 years ago off the beach,have a great xmas all and look forward to seeing you in 2021 to book a trip call 07771926590.

DEC REPORT - LOCKDOWN TWO AND PLYMOUTH WINTER FISHING
Following the first lock down and the subsequent travel restrictions, the great British 'Staycation' did us proud and here at Patricia Rose Charters we were able to welcome many new customers from a wide range of backgrounds. We have introduced lots of families to the joys of fishing both inshore and offshore and our lady anglers have also produced some very memorable fish including 20lb plus Blonde Rays. As is common when the Blonde Rays come onto the banks, you find yourself , as with most of the year, in competition with those commercial boys who will happily take everything for profit leaving nothing for sport. Our anglers respect the fish and frequently return most big females. As a skipper, I am constantly trying to find the exact mark to drop the anchor to avoid commercial nets and deliver results for the anglers. This often means dropping, setting and resetting several times to find the fish. Just before LD2 we managed to find a patch of good fish producing lovely double figure cod. I took the boat out towards the end of LD2 to give the engines a good run and checked the same mark fishing it with a slow pitch 60 gram jig. Despite the depth and the tide I managed to land a 9lb and 11lb Cod as well as a nice Red Couches Bream. The next time I returned post LD2 with a party of paying anglers it was no surprise that the mark was netted probably taking every last decent fish off it. The start of Dec seen me pick up a SWAF SAC booking and despite the time of year we hit every mark with our target fish and more. On one drift we hit 6 different species. What a day hitting Cod, Black Bream, Ling, Coalfish, big chubb Mackerel, Pollock, Whiting, Scad, Cuckoo and Ballan Wrasse, Squid, Poor Cod, Pout, Pilchard. The weather has forced us into the Sound recently but we continue to get out and are looking forward to getting offshore again to see what the commercial boys have left us. Excellent days fishing today, great set of lads on board, finished up with about 40 fish, Andy Townend getting a ling around 11lb and kieth from Harrogate with a lovely cod just under 18lb all the fish just coming off two wrecks.

***Fishing Report 11th December 2020***
Merlin set sail @ 09.30 today for a wreck session.
We head out 11nm to a wreck of a steam coaster ship and fished a steady few hours sweeping the whole wreck.
There were a good few Pollack, Pouting Whiting and Gurnard caught and a PB Pollack for one of our Anglers.
After 4hrs on one wreck we steamed 4nm west to our next wreck for hlf hr where we had more pollack before heading back to Rhyl harbour in the dark with amazing light trails through the water.
The weather today was flat calm, beautiful rainbows and a lovely still passage through Gwynt y Mor windfarm.
Everyone on board were happy with their catch and a good few meals.
Most of the fish were returned to fight another day which is good to see.

Sailed yesterday with Chris Wake and his friends from Kilnsey.
We fished an offshore wreck which gave us a nice day on the cod and ling. Cod to just under 6lb and ling to 7lb.
Both the shads and the bait doing the business.
A very enjoyable day for all.
The group are pictured inset with just a few of their catch.
