Got on my first Wrecking trip since January and was pleasantly surprised with the catch of Cod, Ling and Pollack we caught.
A variety of different coloured lures were used.
Some of the Ling were caught on Lures and some on Squid or Mackerel baits.
Steve Edwards landed his Personal Best Ling weighing 16Ib 8oz (pictured)

A cracking week on the Rays making use of small tides & good weather to fish the deep water banks total in excess of 50 Rays landed during the four days best daily total was 16 mainly undulates over 10lb along with Blondes Thornbacks & Spotted . Many Angler beating their PBs by some margins , like Andy Miller with his fine 22lb blonde Ray. also keeping the rods bending Tope . Smoothounds & Few Bass & not forgetting plenty of mackerel

The fishing just gets better with plenty of Smoothounds with some into double figures. More Mackerel and scad as the water clears. Bass numbers are increasing with some schooling up on the banks. The fishing is good, we have the best bait and tackle so come along and join in the fish fest. Pic shows Harry aged 13 with an 11lb 8oz Hound, his best yet.
