Report on-board Mistress
Absolute cod bonanza today for our anglers!
Our biggest just ounces shy of double figures, with a good helping of 6-8lbers too, plenty of 3-4lbers and even more 2-3lbers.
The best angler had around 30 fish himself, returning plenty of in size fish, just keeping the better ones.
Best bait remains unwashed squid and black lug.
Our diary is open now and we continue to fill our weekend places, give me a call on 07977 436903 if you fancy a run off with me.

A belting day on Sea-Otter 2 for the boys from Cambridge. Some excellent sport and personal bests today all in all some very nice fishing a lot more to come on Sea-Otter 2 .

January fishing is fully in swing, with plenty of large whiting,Dabs,Bass and skate kicking about. This January has been quite mild and to our surprise there’s still a good amount of bass coming up. Within the next month hopefully we should see some early smooth-hounds pushing inshore, along with the start of the large bass we get out of ramsgate. From the start of April we will be providing live prawn and fresh peeler crab to really target those large hounds and bass we get at the start of our season. For now the fishing is still very active with plenty of fish being caught each trip, as time goes on, the fishing should only get better and better. At £40 a head or £250 whole for whole boat, why not give us a message or call and book a day with us? Hopefully see you onboard����

Yesterday’s Wrecking trip ended up fairly productive in the end but the day stared off very slow. Almost nothing caught on the flood tide, we had to wait until the ebb before the pollock started biting.
Biggest went to John Chester from Paignton of 11lb 10oz. . . . However the days pool money was won by Chris from Gloucester and Eastington Deep Sea Angling Club with a fish making just over 8lb. Followed closely by the boys from South Wales.
Thank you lads, that’s a rap for 2019 aboard OUR JOE-L, Here’s to 2020.

The first trip of the year was spent at anchor on a bank, the fishing was hectic with over 70 Conger eels caught and released along with numerous Whiting, Pout, Dogfish,Undulate Ray, Blonde Ray and a 25Ib Tope.
All caught on Mackerel and/or Squid baits. Pictured is Steve Canham with his 25Ib Tope which was returned alive.

Hi guys
Our first anchor/ uptiding trip of 2020
It was a very gusty day with strong wnw winds and neap tides but we decided to go and give it our best shot
We headed out and set the anchor straight away we hit some codling 1.5 to 2 lb we are just at the end of the flood tide as slack water approached the fish stopped biting
So we had a few moves while waiting for the ebb but only the odd fish coming aboard the same was for the rest of the day
We ended up with a few fish for the day but a very nice day out View Boats Page
