Another cracking days COD fishing yesterday on Sea-Otter 2 you Harry never caught a cod before well him and his dad just smashed it .
The other 7 guys onboard also had some excellent sport around 100 cod and many returned plenty of cod fillets for the freezer a lot more to come .

Report on-board Duke IV
Great fishing off Ramsgate with lots of good size Whiting with plenty of Skate to double figures, Bass and the last of the Smoothound, also the best time for a Cod. We have good bait available and plenty of dates for groups or individuals. A beautiful sunny day as well today so come on give me a call on 07715050851 and let's go fishing.

Some nice weather with small tides it was good to be able to get out on the Deep water Reefs and Banks. The sport was lively with Blonde Rays, Tope, Congers, Bull Huss, Black Bream, Turbot etc.
Dave Metcalf caught several Blonde Rays and Dave is pictured with his biggest on the trip weighing 17Ib .. The Rays were all returned alive.
The rays were caught on mackerel and squid baits on Sakuma Manta size 6/0 hooks.

Another very nice days fishing aboard Sea-Otter 2 father and son Scott and Daniel from Manchester both never caught a cod before that’s all history now .
They managed around 25 between them to keep the other lads onboard also got into double figures with fish to take home plus stacks thrown back all in all a great days sport nothing massive best upto 6 lb a lot more to come .

Wednesday 30th October out for our first uptiding trip of the season,we had a decent day with some nice fish coming aboard, mixture of Cod, Pollock, Pouting and Spotted Dog Fish, pictured is John Holder with a nice Cod out of his box full and Tomas with a Pollock that nearly ripped the rod off the boat when it hit the bait, a good day out with the lads, everyone caught well. We have spaces left for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th and 9th before I go on holiday returning on the 19th.

Drew Goble was a Blonde Ray virgin, but not any more with Drew catching several and breaking his Personal Best which has now settled with the biggest weighing 15Ib which is pictured. The Rays were all returned alive.
The rays were caught on mackerel and squid baits on Sakuma Manta size 6/0 hooks.

The uptiding is booming here at whitby, saturday was a little slow with us running a shorter trip and having a seal with us most of the morning, despite moving it kept following us.
We have places tomorrow and thursday, and also for the weekend.
The uptide festival starts on the 9th, with huge prize pool up for grabs for only £5 entry on top of your charter fee.
If we cant get to sea with weather, I also offer shore guiding for Cod. Theres been plenty of fish about so far this winter.

Chris Roberts was a Blonde Ray virgin, but not any more with Chris catching several and breaking his Personal Best which has now settled with the biggest weighing 16Ib 8oz which is pictured. The Rays were all returned alive.

Mixed day today Oct 27th 2019 inshore again after yesterdays big blow, whiting a cast generally with the the spotty dogs of all sizes still here. No thornbacks today not bothered will catch up with them offshore again when we get a chance. One of the fish pictured here must be a foreign species, surprised to see a smoothy as well not a bad day in all and the weather was great ,no rain for once!
