  Report on-board Flamer IV

  The inshore fishing on the Reefs, Banks, Mussel beds have produced Turbot, Brill, Plaice, Rays, Tope, Smooth Hounds,Congers Bull Huss , Black Bream, Bass, Gurnards etc. It is nice to see the Black Bream turning up on the Reefs now.
  
  Pictured is Johns Dransfield with his 15Ib Blonde Ray and new Personal Best.
  
  Sakuma Stinger Hooks sizes 1/0, 2/0 and 4/0 have been the favoured hooks for the inshore species.

  The weather being kind at the moment and the cod fishing on Sea-Otter 2 has been good lures and squid have been fishing well the lads onboard yesterday had a great time a lot more to come .
  
  
  The £5000 1st prize WCSA grand summer festival starts Saturday and runs for 3 weeks still some spaces available if you want your chance to scoop the £5000 cash prize Sea-Otter 2 record in this competition is second to non .

  The weather has hampered fishing with lots of wet and windy conditions a far cry from this time last year add that to the continued presence of a large pod of Dolphins patrolling Poole Bay eating anything that swims, they have been seen flicking Bass into the air then devouring them as they hit the water. The Ray fishing continues to be good with plenty of Undulates, Small Eyed and Thornbacks being landed and released along with more dogfish and very small conger eels. This years Bream fishing has fluctuated with the tides but remains good with a bumper crop of very small bait robbing bream around if you fish small enough hooks you can get 3 at a time. During the bigger tides Bass dominate everyone's thoughts and there are plenty around to have a good days fishing and as long as you keep to the 1 fish rule you will be safe from the authorities.

  Some great pollock out on the wrecks the last few trips with some good size and numbers landed along with the odd cod being caught.The bream fishing in the bay still seems to be in a steady flow with great numbers still being landed on our inshore trips.

  Weekend report:-
  
  Set off Saturday morning wondering north or south to head due to the seas and rain we've had through the week, a flip of the coin decided south it was, we picked up a few fish early on then an un-forecast wind from the s.e came away making fishing even harder than it already was, we had no more than 20 fish for the day to maybe 6lb, Saturday evening was a pick away trip, dozens of 6" coalies and a few cod, the weather was fantastic kinda making up for the lack of fish!!! (in a way haha)
  
  We set off Sunday morning with a plan to fish the local wrecks and a southerly wind coupled with the tide put a dampener on that one so we headed inshore for a bit shelter which we got working our way along the coast only managing a few cod for the efforts then the wind dropped and wreck time it was come noon. Just aswell we did as we ended the day for 30+ fish with ling to around 12lb and cod to around 7lb and a dozen or so macky, the hard work and moving around payed off in the end.

  Hi guys
  Fishing here at hartlepool remains steady with cod around the 3 to 5 lb mark and ling upto 13lbs and mackerel been caught

  Out today with a mixed crew again Rocky from Leicester, Shamek and two friends from Poland, Andy Savage and Edwin Collins on his second day aboard, Edwin finished up top on the boat with some nice Cod and Ling, Mabeel from Leicester first time fishing got a nice Cod.

  fine weather over the weekend allowed us to get out, plenty of Mackeral starting to show, Lots of Bullhuss,Whiting,and steady fishing with Dabs Skate,Codling, Smoothhound, and the odd Plaice , Gurnard, and good numbers of Tope staring to show , the best one weighing 40lb cought by Jack from Derbyshire, weather looks settled for the week ahead, ring for booking details, thanks lads.

  A slow day on Saturday with only 25 or so fish being caught all day. As the weather was a bit crappy from the South East we could only work wrecks out to 11 mile.
  
  Andy Kennedy from Stockton on Tees fished with 6 of his mate and he ended up the top rod on the day with 8 fish.
  
  Looking forward to the Summer competition here at Whitby which starts this Saturday and runs for 3 weeks.
