Plenty of large thornbacks showing on the Goodwins with fish onboard of 15lb 2oz, 14lb 4oz, 14lb, 13lb 7oz, 13lb 3oz, 12lb 9oz, 12lb 6oz on yesterday's trip, all falling to fresh herring baits. Bass will also be our target next week, as the bass ban ends 1st April. Remember we are a full time charterboat and as long as we have 3 or more angler's onboard, we sail. After all the storms and all the trips being cancelled in March so far, at last there is some good weather coming. It will be soon be time for the Spring Flatty fishing for Turbot, Brill and Plaice. Don't Miss Out

March 23rd - Flamer IV Champion of Champions competition - Singles (1 place Left), March 24th - Flamer IV Champion of Champions Competition - Pairs ( 1 place left) both days based of fishing for Big Fish ie Rays,Spurs,Turbot etc,Prizes and Trophies to be won,£10 entry fee,(open to previous winners/runner ups of any competition held on Flamer)
Wreck Trips for individuals with places available - March 31st - Pollack,Ling,Conger, April 1st - Weymouth Pollack Competition, cash prizes and trophies to be won, April 9th - Pollack etc, April 12th - Pollack, Ling etc,

A shocking week so far weather wise as I'm sure it is all over the country until storm Gareth passes through.
If predictions are correct it's looking like this coming Saturday "might" just fall in our favour. Keeping our fingers crossed for that after a long spell off work!
The Spring angling competition starts in a shade over 4 weeks (13th April) and runs for a fortnight. Top prize is £1000.00 in cash!!
We still have room in the competition so come and have a go at winning that lovely cash prize.
As always, individuals are very welcome.

Photos of some of the lads fish from todays 8hr trip.
Like yesterday a good amount of fish caught. within the first few hours the lads put alot of fish back which wasnt deeply hooked as they were happy with what they allready had to take home.
Again nothing massive but a good few fish around the 5lb area caught.

out yesterday as part of the Species League along with Ocean Runner Charters. tough weather conditions making for a hard days fishing but the guys still managed 7 species including smoothhounds, whiting, congers, small eyed and blonde rays. best fish of the day a blonde ray weighing 16lb 8oz.

Perfect weather conditions enabled us to head offshore roughly 12 miles to try out a few new marks. The day started off slowly with a few whiting, congers and small rays, but as the day went on we were able to take full advantage of the excellent tides that day which produced plenty of good sized thornback, spotted and blonde rays and to top the day off three specimen spurdogs.
