Report on-board High Flyer 2
Well been a testing start to febuary coping with the strong winds which only seem to be the weekend and calm during the week! The water temperature has dropped to 5 degrees no excuse now for codling to show. we have had a few small ones nothing worth a picture , still hoping we are going to get a spring codling run soon. The whiting still about odd decent one among them not as prolific as they were but they seem to do that this time of year then return. Dabs making up the sport at slack water of all sizes to be honest i cant wait till return of the spottys and skate wont be long! Wishing my life away again. Going to lose this weekend of 10/11th feb due to the weather bit disappointing but least were safe on dry land. Website up to date with availability or if you have a certain day will try make a trip up for you. Soon as were out again will report back. tight Lines. Jon (High flyer2)

Fishing Report by Philip Higgins
on Mistress Linda / San Gina3 (Poole, Dorset)

Report on-board Mistress Linda / San Gina3
A small weather window allowed Poole Town Anglers to get afloat and head offshore in search of Spurdogs, the tide was perfect as we arrived and anchored the mark then within 5 minutes we had the 1st Blonde Ray followed immediately by a Thornback and other fish including small congers, hounds, dogs and Whiting. As the tide changed I re anchored and again we were into the rays with Pete Smith hooking into a decent fish which had other ideas than to be landed and after a 20 minute fight Pete's hook let go now the tide was getting too strong so we headed back inshore to find a few smaller fish and a nice Dab for Chris.

yesterday we sailed with just 2 anglers due to 3 lads not turning up without letting me no but me been me I wasn't going to let Martin and his son down who had travelled from Halifax. we hit the uptiding grounds and got of to a steady start fishing the last couple of hours of the ebb. slack water seen us drifting around on the anchor with the breezy south westerly . Just after dinner the flood tide slowly came through and we picked away steady. Biggest was around 4lb with the 2 lads boating around 20 fish . They kept a dozen for the table and rest went back. we fished with a mixture of unwashed squid and mussel bait as we struggled to get hold of any blacks last min. The lads had a good day and we even cleaned and fillet of there fish for them. WE HAVE THE FOLLOWING SPACES UPTIDING THIS WEEK 8AM TILL 4PM.

The lads from around the Essex and London area had the last of their 3 days on Thursday last week. The forecast was perfect so we decided to have a good run offshore to a few marks. To be fair the fishing wasn't quite as good as I thought it would be with only 50 or so fish landed. I still think the storm the previous weekend was slowing the fishing up a little. The majority of the fish came on the bait including the best fish of the day which was a ling of 7 lbs caught by Roy which took the daily sweep. Obviously the sweep money was drank as soon as we got back to the pub!! Cheers Roy!
As always our Adam filleted the fish for the lads who were well pleased with the catch and what they were taking back with them.
Looking forward to the next time.
Cheers lads and good fishing wherever you go.
Rich
