  we've finally managed to get back to sea after the recent poor run of weather. After nearly 2 weeks of been in port we hit the uptiding grounds . The tides were spot on for uptiding and we were straight into the cod with around 50 codlings per trip. Biggest was 5lb. The seals this last week have been a bit of a pain stealing plenty of fish from the lines but we just keep moving on and try our best to avoid them. There has also been a bit of a worm shortage so some days we couldn't get the amount of bait needed or we had to use rag which dissent seem to have the same effect as the blacks but non the less we still got our anglers into The fish.   Another very nice day at sea yesterday the lads all had a very nice bag of cod fillets to take home fishing well worm and squid doing the damage room this Thursday and Friday cod fishing weather ok then winters hite home again so if you fancy getting amping the cod give me a bell on 07748705695.

  We've been very lucky with a small settled spell of weather here at Whitby this weekend, we managed to get to sea everyday and an added bonus night trip.
  
  We've managed steady fishing but not as good as it has been, saturday and sunday day trips averaged 30-40 cod for the boat plus throw backs, but saturday night and monday we manged 50-60 cod for the boat.
  Seals were a problem, with us losing a good few fish to them.
  
  Mondays best angler took just shy of 20 codlings himself keeping about a dozen.
  
  Theres a gap in the weather on thursday at the minute and we'll be running a day and a night trip if we get the interest. Its £5 per hour per person for the trips.
  If youre on a budget we can put a deal together to suit you.
  
  Thursday 24th - 10 places
  
  Saturday 26th
  Day trip: 0715- 1600, 5 places
  Night trip: 1700-2300, 6 places
  
  Sunday 27th - 10 places
  
  Hire tackle and bait can be provided if required at cost.

  After a few days of unsettled weather the chance to venture out came on Sunday with sunshine and calm seas, the fishing was steady all day with plenty of Whiting, Dogs, Pout and as a bonus a few Rays and Congers. Matte landed his PB fish a Conger weighing in at 25lb on his light gear which proved challenging but fun. Today the forecast was favourable to start with forecasted increasing winds and a storm front following so we went for it and were rewarded with flat calm seas. We decided to fish a bank 8 miles out knowing that the strength of the tide would only allow a couple of hours fishing but those 2 hours produced some fine fish Whiting to 4lb 4 ozs, Undulate Rays to 13lb and plenty of dogs and small Eels. As predicted the tide beat us and we headed inshore to another bank and were immediately rewarded with more Whiting and a couple more Rays. Overall we had more fish yesterday but today the quality was far superior.

  The water is clear offshore at Whitby again lads !!!!!!!!
  
  We had a run out to a couple of wrecks on the 18 - 20 mile range yesterday. The lads were catching straight away on the baited rigs and also on the artificials, Sidewinders, Shads etc...
  Best bag went to Simon England from Barnsley with 15 fish.
  No big fish were caught but a strong number of lovely plump winter cod to around 6.5 lbs.
  
  The boat is being lifted from the water this afternoon (21st) and will be high and dry for a week. After that we will be back at it (weather permitting)
  
  Fully booked Tues 29th Jan - Sat 2nd Feb.
  Room for 3 on Sun 3rd Feb.
  Room for 1 on Sunday 10th Feb.
  Room for 6 on Mon 11th Feb.

  Drifting and anchor sessions on two Banks produced some fine Undulate Rays as well as the first Turbot and Brill of the year along with Thornback Ray, Small Eyed Ray etc. 15 different species have now been caught on Flamer IV in 2019. Pictured is Denise Youngs with her new Persomnal Best 16Ib 8oz Undulate Ray.
  
  Flamer IV is now out of the water for maintenance/clean up,anti fouling etc to get her all working and looking good for trips in the coming year.
  
  NOTE:The first trips when Flamer IV goes back in the water with places available are on February 19th - Reef/Bank Trip - 2 places left, February 23rd - Reef/Bank Trip - 10 places left,
  
  February 25th - Flamer IV Pollack Competition, Prizes to be won - 5 Places Left, this is the time of the year for Big Pollack. Contact me to book your place(s).
