Flatty Fishing - Bob Spencer from Southampton on his first trip aboard Flamer IV landed his personal best Plaice weighing 4Ib 8oz(Pictured),Bob was using a two hook Plaice trace with pink attractor beads on and size 2/0 Sakuma Stinger hooks baited with ragworm and squid strips. Bob's friend Jason Cochlin caught his ferst ever Turbot weighing 4Ib 8oz,Jason returned the fish alive to grow bigger.
NOTE: The Flatty fishing continues to be good with some good size Plaice being landed along with Turbot and Brill.

The fishing now is doing well with plenty of codling for the table mainly in the 2-5lb bracket with the odd better specimen been caught
Also a few ling now starting to show and the mackerel are huge at the moment

After having a poor day on Saturday, decided to try further off today. some nice fish caught everybody had some fish to take home. Best fish of the day was a 17lb cod caught by Noel which was his personal best. Lets hope we can catch the same quality in the summer festival which we still have some midweek dates available.

Saturday the 16th June, 10 Lads out today on an 8hr fishing over rough ground, Little slow at first but has the tide started to run the codlings started to come on, Some good stamp two and around 25 mackerels, In all not a bad day out,
