Well what a day today fished the ground for a couple of hrs this morning and then fished 2 wrecks that where lifting with fish from the first drift to the last on most drifts every rod bent over good stamp again off wrecks with the guys and girls throwing fish back well into legal size back all day and especially towards the later of the day. Total kept was 76 between 5 which is not bad going by any standards. Easy over 100 fish to the boat today and I even helped the lads out off the other charter boat out who came in after us and gave them the fish I had caught. They struggled ��������

A nice day at sea yesterday with a mixed party of lads.
A steady days fishing on the ground with cod to 14lb 12 oz caught by Jim Binns from Halifax.
Top rod for the day was my old friend from Leeds, Derek Wiggins who managed 15 cod for himself.
Places available next week are as follows :-
Tuesday 5th June --------- 6 places.
Wednesday 6th June------ 3 places.
Thursday 7th June---------9 places.
As always individuals are most welcome and we offer a full professional service to both seasoned anglers and total beginners. Tides next week are also perfect in the "neap" range.

I know on a charter boat that the crew are on board to catch fish but today i had an excess of Bass.!the fishbranged between 1 - 4 lbs but the numbers where off the scale. I didn’t have a crew so went solo. The Bass are thriving which is great news. All from fish where returned straiggt away and we will meet them in a few years!!!!

Some varied catches aboard the Shy-Torque this last week or so.
The algae is still playing its role in making things difficult in places here at Whitby but when we find the clearer water the fishing has been ok. No great shakes and no real big fish landed but acceptable never the less with all the lads taking a nice bag of cod home for the table.
The last 5 or 6 trips have seen the lads average around the 50 fish mark for the boat which isn't too bad.
Bill Barraclough from Barnsley is pictured with a few of his fish from the other day.
We have room for a few next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and the tides are perfect for wrecking.

With a decent run of good weather Spot On has been all over the place from fishing inshore on the skerries bank to deep water wrecks in search of conger to mid channel wrecking for cod and pollock along with the first trips to the Channel Islands.
In May 2018 We have caught:
Pollock to 16lb 8oz
Ling to 27lb
Cod to 13lb
Turbot to 19lb 6oz
Brill to 6lb 2oz
Undulate Ray to 17lb 2oz
Ballan wrasse to 5lb 4oz
Conger eels to 70lb
John Dory to 4lb 10oz
Black bream to 3lb 10oz
Plaice to 2lb 14oz
As you can see there are some truly amazing catches of fish of lifetime let alone in just one month!
Still some dates for 2018 and now taking bookings for 2019.
Why not try Spot On, Brixham's and the south wests premier charter boat. I think you'd have a job to beat these types of catches anywhere else!
