    Report on-board Shy-Torque III

    04.05.2018.

Bloody hell !! Has summer arrived at last?????

A mixed group aboard the boat today from as far afield as Lincolnshire to Cheshire.

After last weekend when I suspected that things were changing on the closer marks with clearing water, we decided to have a crack at a few inshore wrecks and ground today.
All 8 lads aboard armed themselves with the bait to start with and were immediately into fish from the start. I personally tried the artificials with shads and sidewinders and stuck with those all day.

Everyone on board had numbers into double figures and I also managed a dozen myself.

Best fish fell to Darren Bradley from Derby with a lovely cod of 10 lb 11 oz and is pictured inset.

A couple of days with room next week. Monday 7th, Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th. Tides are perfect too!!!

Cheers and tight lines to one and all
    Rich

We managed to sneak a day in today here at whitby, 1st after the northerly gale we had on monday.

Its coured the water up again inshore. I got let down this morning with two lads with only one showing up. Despite this i sailed with the one person and stayed inshore.

Not a startling day but we had an early finish with us taking around 30 codlings between the two of us which includes tbrow backs. All to squid and blacks.

We have spaces tomorrow and saturday ìf youre interested give me a call on 07977 436903

  • 28/04/2018 Fishing Report by jon old on High Flyer 2 (Great Yarmouth, Norfolk)

28 Apr 2018 by jon old

    Report on-board High Flyer 2

Todays trip can only be described as most miserable weekend of weather for this time of year north easterly raining most of the day with cold wind rather be at home or shopping was that bad! Despite that first timers on the High Flyer 2 was trip organised by local Paul Cole full marks for sticking the day and catching a few fish as well. Nice to see first of the small skate turning up along with a early smoothound and numerous spotty dogs throughout the day. Picture today of Roy with one of the thornbacks they will get better as season progresses i promise. Big thanks to everyone for the day i hope to see you at some point hopefully with better weather. Cheers Jon (High Flyer 2)
