Report on-board Flamer IV
At last managed to get a weekend out fishing. The first day we went wrecking and caught Pollack and Ling on a variety of lures and also caught the first Mackerel of the year on a jelly worm.
My Next Wrecking Trips with places available is on April 25th, Don't Miss Out, Now is the time for the Big Pollack and Ling.
The second day we fished Banks at anchor and on the drift which produced mainly Blonde Rays with Jon Trevett smashing his Personal Best by a mile with a Blonde weighing 26Ib 2oz. Pennel rigs of Sakuma Manta hooks baited with Squid and Mackerel cocktails did the trick. All the Rays were returned alive. Pictured is Jon trevett with his 26Ib 2oz Blonde Ray.
My Next Bank Trips with places available with Rays,Turbot,Brill,Spurdogs the target species are is on April 9th,Don't Miss Out.

Report on-board Duke IV
As the weather slowly warms up the fish are arriving, all be it reluctantly. We headed north today beginning the day on the edge of a channel hoping for a Cod, March and April were the best months for spring Codling. We gave it an hour catching a few Whiting and a Skate. We then moved out to the banks and had a super day on the Skate landing another 17 fish to 10lb, many of which were released. Jake and Darren enjoyed the day vowing to return in May. Plenty of dates available to join us whether an individual or group wanting to book the boat. Ring me on 07715050851 to book your place.

Report on-board High Flyer 2
Bringing us up to date we have seen a small influx of codling in recent week the downside now hit by 40mph plus easterly winds with everyone snowed in now! Hoping this cold snap will bring few more fish in on a normal year this month would be spring codling run follwed by the spotty dogs turning up mid to late March then April the start of skate when spring arrives. All we can do see what occurs the better times are just around the corner roll on the smoothounds! Website up to date for those wanting to plan any trips, this year we have been asked to do more tope specials so we will keep eye out for them mid june onwards rule of thumb. Lost out on night trips last year the wind just didnt play ball lets hope for a better season with the jet stream hopefully going the right way for once and all that cable work finished putting a spanner in the works i am looking forward to a better season. Hoping you can join us at some point.Picture of the new van, big thanks to Andrew from SignSmith for all his help. Next review soon as we get out until then tight lines everyone. Jon

Report on-board Supanova II
Well well well.......... It never snows in Weymouth!! Well we have had more snow this month than I have ever seen before. A sign of the times hey! The wind has been relentless this winter and has been one of the worst for a while but that's why we put our pennies aside in the summer because you never know how long the wind will blow. When we have managed to steal a day from the weather gods the fishing has been fantastic mid channel with great catches of Pollack, with a decent stamp and fish touching 18lbs. ***** SPACES WRECKING IN MARCH AND APRIL 28TH MARCH, 2ND, 6TH, 11TH, 26TH APRIL*****
Thanks to all that have ventured down often short notice to make the most of the weather.
Tight Lines,

Report on-board Silver Spray II
With all the wind, rain and snow we have been having over the last month this is going to be a brief report. We have managed 4 days afloat since mid February, thankfully the quality of the fishing has more than made up for the lack of opportunities to get out there. We have focused our efforts on the wrecks mid channel and that has paid off with good numbers and some quality fish making appearances. Biggest so far is around the 15lb mark with average sat at about 8lb, a key ingredient for success seems to be a very long trace sometimes as much as 15 feet. We managed to beat one of our longest standing boat records in early March as Pete Knight battled a 9lb 8oz coalfish to the surface. The record has been at 6lb ever since Silver Spray 1's first trip to Alderney in 2006. Elsewhere we did have a couple of hours on the spurs whilst doing some filleting one day and they are still on the grounds in abundance with a few blonde rays thrown in for good measure. Over the next month we shall see the arrival of the flatfish on the banks and the bream on the reef grounds.

Fishing Report by Colin Penny

Report on-board Flamer IV
A lovely Spring days fishing started with a session at anchor on a bank to the East of the port which produced Spurdogs,Small Eyed Ray, Thornback Ray, Spotted Ray, Conger, Whiting and the usual Dogfish. Denise Youngs catching a good size Spotted Ray weighing 4Ib 10oz, not to be out done husband Ian landed his Personal Best Spurdog weighing 19Ib,Simon Oakland landed his first ever Spurdog weighing 12Ib 13oz.
Next we drifted a Bank for Turbot, so I decided to have a go, I proceeded to land a 3Ib Tub Gurnard a PB for me, followed by a Turbot and then a Brill which were returned alive,I was then called a spawny, lucky *astard by some of the anglers who had only manged to catch one Turbot. A lovely end to the day ha ha with a bit of abuse and banter.
My Next Bank Trips with places available with Rays,Turbot,Brill,Spurdogs the target species are on March 31st, April 7th Don't Miss Out.
