Fishing Report by Rich Cope
on Mistress (Whitby, North Yorkshire)

Report on-board Mistress
Cracking day on the Cod here again at Whitby. With a perfect forecast and only two lads I sailed as I didnt want to let them down.
The tides were quite small and thought we were in for a slow day, but it looks like that south easterly motion got the fish fired up in a few places.
We finished up with 60-70 keepers upto 8lb with quite a few throw backs. Best bait was dirty squid and black lug. With a bit of Tonys secret additive!
The best angler caught around 30 codlings himself, the best of the day of 8lb went to Tony from Doncaster.
If you fancy a trip with me, give me a call or text on 07977 436903
Tight lines - Rich

Fishing Report by Colin Penny
on Flamer IV (Weymouth, Dorset)
12 Jan 2018 by Colin Penny
Report on-board Flamer IV
My first trip of 2018 took place with two anchor sessions on two different banks which produced some good action with Blonde Rays, Spurdogs, Conger, Whiting etc. Paul Milkins landed his Personal Best Spurdog weighing 17Ib. Rick Hawkins landed several Blonde Rays and lost a Big one, Congers and Whiting. Rick had an almighty tug on his tackle while Whiting fishing and when he reeled in a good size Whiting it had been bitten in half by a hungry fish with very sharp teeth. Pictured is Paul Milkins with his Personal Best 17Ib Spurdog.
My next Reef/Bank Trip with Places Available is on January 21st 2018 which will also be a Winter Species Competition with trophies and prizes to be won.

Fishing Report by Philip Higgins

Report on-board Mistress Linda / San Gina3
On a perfect day, warm sunny and without any wind we did our last Flounder trip of the year the tide was perfect. After feeding the crabs for an hour with only one bite which the angler missed we noticed a couple of seals working their way around the Harbour and circling around us they seemed to be having the same success as we were so after a quick move then another 2 moves and still no Flounders we decided to change tactics and go outside for a few fish. We landed a few Channel Whiting and the usual suspects. At least the fishing outside the Harbour proved successful and saved our day

Happy new year First trip back for 2018,
Been a windy spell last 2weeks so not many of us made it out there lately, been bit of an improvement on the fishing with some nice double figure rays( 6.2kg one in pic for Edd) these will get more plentifull as the weeks go by, few codling in the 2/3lb bracket showing so maybe this year we will have a spring run!! fair run of nice whitings and some reasonable dabs on the small tides or slack water, not so many herring about now and no sign of
Sprats schooling so all looking a bit better out there , Tight lines chris.View Boats Page
