Report on-board Mistress
Friday turned out to be a successful day and night for the Mistress anglers here at Whitby.
Our day trip saw a good box of fish for the two lads that booked the full boat, they'd caught enough so I filletted their fish for them and got back in an hour and a half early, which gave me the opportunity to prepare for our night trip.
We were all boarded and away for 545pm for our 6hr trip. We moved around a few places through the night and also had a slack water period so it wasnt as fast, best angler took 9 fish to 6lb 8oz. Everybody still caught fish to take home though with quite a few 4/5lbers boated.
So with the weather now taking a bit of a down turn we'll be picking our windows in the weather to get out at the fish. If you want to book a trip with me text or call 07977 436903
Bait available on request.

Fishing Report by Lyle Stantiford
on Supanova II (Weymouth, Dorset)
Nov 2017 by Lyle Stantiford
Report on-board Supanova II
Well the season is beginning to wind down from here on in as the weather begins to beat us a little more frequently than we'd like.
It's a big shame as the fishing has been superb the last month or so with the stand out, the absolutely phenomenal Bream fishing. On a couple of marks when the tide comes right sport has been bonkers with double and even treble shots common place and not small fish either with the best in the last month 4lb 7oz for Southampton angler Andy Hayden. The Blonde Ray fishing has been fantastic on the small toes with up to 50 fish coming to the net and all released to fight another day. Best the last month was 28lb. A bit of squid fishing will often feature in the last hour of trips this time of year, with many people never having targeted them let alone caught one it is great fun! They fight like mad and great eating too.
We have a bit of time off in December but a few trips with place still remain.
29th November Inshore £55pp 7 spaces
16th December Inshore £55pp 3 spaces
17th December Wrecking £75pp 7 spaces
27th December Wrecking £75pp 10 spaces
28th December Inshore £55pp 8 spaces
30th December Wrecking £75pp 2 spaces
Thanks to all that have made this month fun and continue their support to Weymouth.

Lyle

Report on-board Duke IV
A good run of Skate have arrived keeping the rods busy along with shed loads of Whiting some of which are very good size for eating. Also some jumbo Pouting amongst them. The water has now got the chocolate brown colour that screams Cod, although they are thin on the moment as we head towards Xmas the chances of catching one looks good. Spaces available for groups or next individuals day 9th December. Pic shows some of yesterday's Skate to 10lb.

Fishing Report by Scott Belbin
on Galloper (Brightlingsea, Essex)

Report on-board Galloper
As ever its been a while since my last report on here. This autumn has been promising as expected. Its been an improvement on last year (which isn’t too hard). As im sure you will have gathered from other reports from this area. The last few weeks have seen us catching codling on all but one trip. They are mostly small and we’ve seen between 1 and 3 per trip which is alwost as many in a trip as the whole of last season! There are currently heaps of whiting keeping us busy in the between and although as ever the majority are small there is the odd bigger one around too. The colder weather has thinned out the bulk of the thorn-back rays and dogfish. However we are still scratching a few together to mix in with the rest of the days catch. The last set of tides saw the return of the dabs, the lads had a few hours fishing for them with 10-15 per angler coming out. These add to the relatively varied catches we are seeing at the moment and make a great standby for a windy winters day.
We are available right through the winter and have spaces throughout December and January. We are lucky enough to have plenty of sheltered places to fish so if your keen to get out there’s no need to cancel.
Ive added a few pictures to my page on here of some of the codling we have seen so far. They aren’t monsters but it should give you an idea of what’s coming out.

Fishing Report by Rich Cope
on Mistress (Whitby, North Yorkshire)
19 Nov 2017 by Rich Cope
Report on-board Mistress
Unfortunately we've lost the last two days of the Whitby Sea Anglers Uptide Festival here at Whitby to bad weather. On a plus note Mistress manged to secure 1st place this year, both in the heaviest fish and heaviest bags section, plus many places in the top 10 leaderboard.
Graham Jones from Ackworth near Doncaster caught the winning 7lb 1oz cod netting him a massive £1000, hows that for an early christmas present!
Local angler Alex Leadley got the two heaviest bags of the festival, his winning bag totalling over 61lb!
His other bag was 51lb+ with a 40lb+ bag to Mistress regular David Gleadall from Huddersfield the same day.
Heres a massive thankyou to all our anglers, sponsors and weigh masters, without you guys we wouldn't be able to hold these events.
The catches on the uptiding grounds have been 2nd to none this winter with lots of very good catches with really good numbers of fish. There are plenty of the 2-3lb codlings which keep the rods rattling all day, with a sprinkling of 4-6lb fish and a few bigger ones to the lucky anglers that get them.
We will continue to fish through the winter everyday weather allows. We will also continue to do the evening trips for those with work commitments.
There looks to be a gap in the weather on friday, we only need a couple of peoole to sail.
If you fancy jumping aboard for a trip youll get a warm welcome. Give me a call on 07977 436903 or message me on fb, Mistress Sea Angling Charters.

Report on-board High Flyer 2
Weekend of 18th/19th November 2017 bringing us up to date. Been so windy lately all our fishing has been inshore but with surprising results. Picture today is of Des Gunton (Norfolk) with our best cod to date this season of 7.5lbs , the cod havent really turned up yet just odd fish about but the water temperature is slowly dropping currently at 9 degrees so hoping for some cold weather soon. The whitting have been grabbing the baits soon as they hit the water pleased to have them about really but at times they are a pain! The odd skate still about inshore have noticed a serious decline in the spotty dogs which is very handy proves water temp is falling . One lucky angler Paul got a nice surprise of a 3lb lobster mouth hooked as well doesnt often happen good for him.
Soon as wind decreases we will get out to some deeper water to have a look about but not this week either with cancelled trip again tomorrow so bit testing. Looking like coming weekend inshore again but with few nice surprises that we been having least were getting fish keeping people happy. Big thanks to all for weekend despite the wind and cold appreciate you all coming out, until next time tight lines everyone.
