A double shot for Mick on Lead Us
A weather window and slack tides saw us heading offshore to deeper water again. Within 5 minutes Bob was into the first hound of the day around the 5lb mark with plenty of spotties and whiting coming on board 10 minutes later i managed the first thornback and so it went on throughout the day just before slack water Mick had a lovely double shot consisting of a nice thornback and smoothound at the same time which took some pulling in. We ended the day with 6 thornbacks to 6lb 6 smoothounds to 6.5lb lots of spotties and whiting to go round. Mark as hard as he tried could not get past the whiting and spotties but did manage the record for the smallest spotties of the day. A great days fishing once again on Lead Us

Report on-board Eastern Promise 2
Sunday 24th September, and we headed out.. and out .. and out. Anyway it was worth it, as first mark saw us catching Smoothhound, few doggies and odd skate for luck, then a move not too far and we found the Bass! Not huge ones, but 15 Caught between 5 of us. Great days fishing. Great Skipper.

Report on-board High Flyer 2
Pleased to announce new vessel High Flyer 2 is now in service a Procharter P4 with Cummins 480HP turbo cruising around 20 knots capable of 30 knots if you want to pay for the fuel! Main feature is 4 metre beam with comfortable seating all round with outside deck toilet, press button eco flush system no more going downstairs feeling ill! Faster boat will come into use with our offshore trips cutting travelling time down more fishing. Latest Akios reels and Ugly Stik rods in use at the moment keeping the coding to ten plus two still even though we could have increased passengers the thought was to give maximum comfort and space. Obviously full safety spec , lifejackets available on request, safety briefing before every trip as usual.
We do use the Paypal Deposit System on the website of £20 per place booked fully refundable on bad weather etc due to the increasing problem of non showing persons leaving us standing on the quay particularly annoying when you refuse others because the boat is full. Please dont be offended by this unfortunately in place due to a small minority of people.
Website up to date daily so reliable, if you wish us to make up a trip on a certain date we will do our best to do so we cater for single bookings, boat bookings must cover the ten places financially up to you how many you divide that by, specialist trips catered for wrecking etc. Normal inshore trips £45 per head using own tackle , add £5 using ours to cover losses /replacement.
So looking forward to being of service, cod season should be upon us shortly dont miss out as weekend dates are going already up to xmas hope you can join us on High flyer 2. Until then,
tight lines everyone.

Report on-board Girl Mandy
Just a few lines to let the other skippers know an angler named Stewart phone number 07815588657 had a trip booked with us this Sunday after several calls and texts he said he will send a deposit but no word and refuses to answer the phone. I will not stop naming anglers who give it the big I am and then turn completely deaf when you try to contact them, they affect my business and my faith in the general public so till the next report tight lines and calm waters

Report on-board Shy-Torque III
26.09.2017.
How fortunes change from day to day!!
George Ho and his mates Simon Wong, Phil and Dennis chartered the boat today.
With us just having the 4 on board we decided that a run to a couple of wrecks offshore that hadn't been touched for some time was in order. The forecast was perfect for a run off, so after we gathered some huge Mackerel on the 9 mile we set off.
The first wreck only produced around 10 or a dozen fish with no real size about them. The 2nd wreck however produced a good selection of Cod,Ling, Coaley & Pollack.
On the 3rd drift across, Dennis hooked in to what looked to be a decent fish. I was winding a reasonable fish up at the same time which was a Cod around 8 lb. I went aft to stand next to Dennis to see what all the commotion was about. A rather large green "loom" started to show about 40 ft below us and as it approached the boat we all realised it was a good sized fish.
On a 5/0 hook with a small piece of Mackerel as bait, Dennis had boated his personal best Ling. A belter at 28lb 10 oz. The fish had blown on the way up so I guess it could have nudged, or even gone a shade over the 30 lb mark before losing it's stomach contents.
The lads ended up with around 40 odd fish between them for the day plus around 100 Mackerel we gathered at the end of the day. A great day for one and all.
Dennis is pictured with his PB. Well done mate!!
Tight lines

Fishing Report by TERRY BATT
on Vanishing Point-2 (Bradwell Marina, Essex)
23 Sep 2017 by TERRY BATT
Report on-board Vanishing Point-2
With the water temperature now starting to fall, and the whiting have arrived in large numbers, and there have been reports of a few Codling caught on the night tides from the Clacton area and a few have been netted in the trawl nets.... so do we dare to hope we may well have a showing of Cod this year... well the signs are looking quite good...!!
Still a lot of Bass at the moment off-shore these wont be there for much longer and before the weather takes a turn for the worse .....
But the good mainstay of Thornback Rays are there in good numbers, so you could in fact get 5 species in a single trip..!!!
