  • 12/09/2017 Fishing Report by TERRY BATT on Vanishing Point-2 (Bradwell Marina, Essex)

12 Sep 2017 by TERRY BATT

    Report on-board Vanishing Point-2

Well, the fishing to date has been consistent with good number of Rays, Bass and Hounds, the Mackerel have done a disappearing act sadly... but must not complain as we hsave had a good run this year.
With the bigger Bass about to start massing off shore, it would be a good time to think about booking up a trip or three,

Hopefully the weather will calm down and let us make those off-shore trips to the outer marks where the magic happens not seen so many Plaice this year...... must have caught them all last year..lol

If you would like to charter this ineradicable catamaran Vanishing Point-2, then just call on 07768 30 66 46
and if you want to include clay shooting within your charter just let us know the night before so we can arrange the shoot for you.
    Tight lines.... hot guns..!!!!

  • 09/2017 Fishing Report by Rich Ward on Shy-Torque III (Whitby, North Yorkshire)

    Sep 2017 by Rich Ward

    Report on-board Shy-Torque III

    09.09.2017.

Day 8 of the September angling competition here at Whitby saw some quality fish boated on the Shy-Torque.

With the last couple of trips proving very hard on these huge Springs I decided that a trip out to the grounds at the back of the 20 mile was probably the best idea to try and escape the strength of the tide.

The ground didn't produce a great deal of fish numbers wise but we did manage yet another fine daily winner with a cracking Ling of 19lb 04 oz caught by Mathew Weatherhead from Wetherby.

Mathew took 1st daily prize and is currently leading the competition. Simon Wong was previously leading with his 17 lb 7 oz Ling also caught on the Shy-Torque.

    Mathew is pictured inset.

We have room on the boat next Tuesday and Wednesday.

    Tight lines
    Rich

Some of the better fish caught on yesterdays 4 hour inshore trip.

Still loads of small codling about when anglers could get through the mackerel as everywhere seams to be thick with them at the moment.
