Report on-board Mistress Linda / San Gina3
Due to the predicted strong winds our game plan changed to fish several local banks which in hindsight proved very fortuitous, after getting a good supply of fresh mackeral we anchored off Swanage and were immediately into our 1st Ray this continued until we lost the tide and started to swing around the anchor rope so a quick move into Poole Bay was needed and once settled we were again into Rays. A total of 22 were caught and returned, 16 Undulates, 5 Small Eyed and 1 small Spotted, along with a few dogs and hounds to add to the score card.

Weymouth Angling Breaks - Book Now, Don't miss Out,*** NOW TAKING BOOKINGS FOR 2018 ***
A few days away fishing out of Weymouth along with the social side is a nice trip to do.The variety of fishing and the amount of different species caught at Weymouth is probably second to none. There are plenty of places to stay which are angler friendly and some excellent places to wine and dine around the harbour and in Weymouth Town centre.
If you want to try a Weymouth Angling Break then contact me, I cater for whole boat charters and individuals.
Planning your trip well in advance is essential you need to arrange your boat booking and your accommodation as early as possible to avoid disappointment, some of my regular groups plan their trips at least 12 months in advance, this allows them to discuss with me the best tides for the type of fishing they are targeting. -

unable to proceed out to my chosen mark due to the forecast of increasing winds we headed up to the shelter of the cliffs of Corton. After a bit of searching round we dropped the anchor on the spot showing the most marks on the sounder just as the tide was starting to move. Roland was the first into what looked like a very good fish but unfortunately his line parted and we never saw it. following this the smoothounds started making a good show with everyone getting their share of fish and Bob getting the lions share and the biggest just under 8lbs. Then Paul had a cracking bite which almost dragged his rod over the stern after a very good fight the fish broke the surface to reveal a massive Bass once netted it wieghed in at 10lb 1oz a new record for the boat and a PB for Paul after some admiring looks and comments it was safely returned leaving Paul with a permanent grin for the rest of the day we ended the day with over a dozen hounds upto 8lb , Bass 10lb 1oz , and a few whiting hopefully this excellent run of fish will continue for some time

Report on-board Hurricane
spring and summer have arrived along with some nice catches of smoothounds and skate .
View Boats Page
we had a bonanza on the skate in early May when huge numbers arrived inshore we recorded catches of up to 100 in a day but they have now spread out a bit and made way for the hounds which is what summer is all about in the estuary.
plenty off bass around and large shoals showing on the fishfinder and birds diving are a good indicator .
feathering produces lots of small bass which is fun but all go back to swim away.
mackerel expected soon and from the 1st July we can retain 1 per angler
some huge hounds about and the females are heavy with pup so a chance of a record breaker is out there somewhere.
the recent charity competition for Demelza was a great day with the largest skate being recorded from my boat
and 21 boats and 96 anglers taking part in what will now become an annual event. -

Sunday only five of us went ray bashing and we're not disappointed catching 20 in the first 2 hours. We also caught cod and whiting.
We pulled the hook after a great start and 33 fish and took a short steam to the next spot which got off to a quick start. A decent doggie landed 5 minutes in with a steady stream of doggies to follow. Hounds and flatties everywhere. Another decent day with 63 caught and the biggest fish cash prize went to the skipper with 6.5lb thornback ray.
All 8 hour trips through July £45 including rod. Full day boat hire £400. Contact Chris if you require bait.

What an amazing weekends fishing
View Boats Page
the boys from the jaguar plant started the weekend off with a bang catching TWELVE different species bagging a total of 96.
With the sun shining, the wind non existent, and the sea like glass we dropped anchor at the first mark and it didn't disappoint. We obviously caught doggies, we also caught bull hus, smoothies, tope, plaice, dabs, tub gurnard, starry smoothies, whiting, and thorn back rays.
Following an amazing morning we pulled the hook and steamed to hunt for mackerel. Once we had shaken off the seal following the boat we dropped anchor and settled into an afternoon of steady tight lines with everything we had caught earlier and a first for wave dancer a herring was landed. Mackerel were caught all around the boat including 14 year old josh who had told the skipper he had never fished for mackerel before as he pulled in a string of three followed by four more on his next cast. I think he is hooked now as he kept asking his dad when he could go for mackerel again.
Just to top the day off porpoises were spotted on our way home in Liverpool bay.
The biggest fish cash prize went to Alex who caught a 9.5lb bull hus. -

Nothing huge today but we had some belting fishing this morning which really slowed down s the tide easied.
Lots of codlings put back to fight anouther day with all the anglers having a good few fish each for the pan. Heavest fish was a cod weighing 6lb.
Plenty of good banter as always
