Just to put certain facts straight we are out as much as we can and only loose a few trips due to bad weather but i cant see the point in going on and on about whose boat is best at nearly 13 ton in weight we can hold our own in most weather so size does not matter all the time we may not be the fastest but a track record of nearly 48 years in the job i dont need to bullshit we are all trying to do a job. Fishing has improved and a good amount of double figure skate coming to the net plus our friends the dogfish have made a show along with some good whiting but alas no cod We have a few good tides left so get your gear and get out here men and ladies

We managed a few days at sea last week here at Whitby.
The fishing was pretty good too for the #Mistress anglers with the best lads each day getting 8 or 9 keeper Cod a piece, most in the 3-4lb bracket with a few better fish pushing 6-7lb.
There seems to be millions of small 8-10" codlings swimming around this year which is certainly a great sign this upcoming year.
Decent black lug, unwashed squid, Mussel and crab cart all doing the business for the lads.
The weather is looking good, for the weekend, and we have spaces both satyrday and sunday. trips are £45 for 9 hours.
Friday night we have a night trip 5-11pm, its £30 each experience is essential and a headlamp is needed, we have 5 places available for this one.

Tuesday 7th March, full boat and weather was ok , set off towards Kingsdown area with high hopes.
After dropping anchor and setting up the action started,,,, crewman Stuart was kept busy netting fish.
Total for the day was 35 Skate with the biggest going a tad over 12 lbd, a few were kept for the table but most went back.

Hi all, just a quick report to say sorry for the lack of reports !!!! The winter has been quiet, we did get out after the Porbeagles on 1st of December after reports from the commercial hand liners that they were getting them on the hand line gear but to no avail with us. Steve Dawe did have several really good whiting even then but have not been out since. The time has come to sort out the boat (painting, repairs and renewals) for the coming season (which is very heavily booked) but if you need to book let me know as I already have 1 or 2 cancellations. The highlight of last season was the brilliance of it all !! nearly 500 sharks from Force Ten topped off by this beauty of a blue , caught by Guy Radford and measured 117" X 39" and 94" fork measurement. est at 180 + lb. In addition to this we saw lots of Bluefin Tuna and a couple were caught by the Looe Shark Boats so with all this we are looking forward to this season with baited breath !!. will keep you all better informed this year . With fishing picking up nicely now, and the finest charter boat in the fleet that gets out when most other cannot due to wind....!
There are some really nice big Thornbacks Rays coming out at the moment, so well worth a trip to put a good bend back in those rods that have been put away all winter.
Not forgetting on the Vanishing Point-2 we do clay pigeon shooting for those more competitive groups, and is also a lot of fun.

WERE BACK
seeng as the cod fishing failed to materialise this winter we decided to pull the boat out and have a proper clean up and add some more gadgets!!
a new five year codeing has been issued ensuring she is fully compliant and is fully up to date with all safety an life saving equipment
refurbished propellors and a sqeaky clean hull will ensure a fast ride out to those offshore banks
looking forward to the summer now and those big smoothounds and the plaice and turbot fishery we only just
scratched the surface of last year
our first trip this weekend produced over 50 skate for one of our regular crews !!! no monsters but a lot of fun after 3 months ashore ! as the days grow longer and the water warms we should see plenty more and the big girls View Boats Page

Being a very productive weekend on the cod on Saturday the lads massed over 50 cod between the 5. of them up 8 lb some great sport for the lads weather up and down the weather looks good by Friday and some spots available so if you fancy a day on the cod give me a ring on 07748705695

Out on river on 5th sunday with few friends there's still plenty of cod about we managed 16 cod 2lb to 5lb .just 2 of us fishing .we've got spaces left Wednesday Thursday Friday so give us a call ,the cod won't be around for much longer .cheers Lee 07514337195 Wednesday 7am start ...Thursday ...8am start....
