Report on-board Flamer IV
My first wreck trip of 2017 produced a variety of size Pollack along with a Bass and a real bonus a Coalfish. Certainly when the tide was at it's peak the best lures were Bubble Gum Pink Red Gills fished on long traces.
Coalfish are a rare fish in Weymouth waters, Nigel Powis landed his first ever which weighed 8Ib 3oz and is a new Flamer IV record. (Pictured)
NOTE: LOOK - *** BOOK NOW FOR 2017 *** I have put up an Itinerary of trips for 2017 on all my web sites, take a LOOK, the itinerary is not set in stone so I may be able to change it to suit your needs subject to the tides.View Boats Page

Report on-board Mistress
Happy New Year Everyone!
Whilst most of the other boats are doing yearly round-ups, we're still putting in the days and nights at sea, keeping our anglers among the Cod!
I'm sure as business starts slowing as it generally does around this time of year, I'll have a hunt through my many files for some of the better pictures and fish from last year.
We're experiencing a big northerly again at the minute, but looking at the charts there will be a window for this Saturday (7th Jan) we currently have 5 places available.
The trip is 9 hours. 0730-1630, and is £45 per person, thats only £5 per hour! if you see cheaper deals on the internet, they are cheap for a reason, you only get what you pay for! I put in 110% every trip.
These photos are from our last few trips, where it has generally been very good with our best day seeing 60 cod boated with our best angler that day taking 13 cod himself, most other days the better anglers with good quality bait have been getting double figure bags too.
So if youre interested in a trip here at Whitby on Mistress give me a call on 07977 436903. pr drop me a message on seafishingwhitby@hotmail.co.uk,

Fishing Report by Steve Green
on Brigand (Brighton, East Sussex)
31 Dec 2016 by Steve Green
Report on-board Brigand
With inshore Cod fishing slower than expected we headed off to the wrecks in search of hard fighting Pollock and were not disappointed! As many were lost as landed taking repeated powerful dives into the wreck and taking baits so deep that they chomped through 30lb leaders. A great day out with great anglers onboard rounded off the year nicely.
It's been a great year with Turbot, Bream, Brill, Bass, Cod, Conger and above all the wonderful people that it has been pleasure to have aboard Brigand, you have really made it a great year, thank you all.
Very excited about the arrival of the new boat in February. 10m Catamaran with twin 280hp engines and a genuine cruise speed of 16kn will make those distance Turbot & wreck marks accessible in most weathers and that will be the focus of 2017.
Availabilty is limited for Jan/Feb which looks like being peak wrecking period so get in touch if you want to be amongst it.
Best wishes

Fishing Report by Owen Mallia
on Outlaw (Dartmouth, Devon)
31 Dec 2016 by Owen Mallia
Report on-board Outlaw
Day 3 of the Annual Outlaw 'Hangover' Trophy event
Once again the boys caught very well on the Channel Wrecks today
London visitors Nazir Ahmed and Riz Ahmed had a very enjoyable day with Naz catching the only Cod plus a number of fine Winter Pollock, not to be outdone, Riz also landed himself a decent haul of Pollock too.
Dartmouth regulars Nick Evans and Mark Cousins from Newton Abbott also caught very well today.
On the second to last drift Mark took the fish of the day with a feisty 14lbs 6oz Pollock, guaranteeing him the overall Day 3 victory.
The last three days have seen superb catching and the Wrecks given us some great sport to round off a very successful 2016 season, hopefully we will all enjoy more of the same in 2017 - bring it on!
