    Report on-board Just Mary

Hi All, a new start to a New Season and the BLACK BREAM have arrived in POOLE BAY in reasonable numbers, with a new colour scheme for 'Just Mary' of rhubarb and custard for 2016 ! The recent photo of 'Just Mary' on the trailer at Elkins Boatyard just prior to re-launch shows just how Huge this boat is and with her 12 passenger plus 2 crew capability there is plenty of room for Angling parties. So as a Full Time operation, weekdays and weekends, Half Day or All Day, Whole Boat Charter or Small Groups/ Individuals and Singles we are ready for 2016 bookings. Always best to Phone me rather than message or email if you need a quick reply for a specific date and a specific booking, we will always try to accommodate you if possible. We run regular weekend Singles/Individuals trips and many of those Anglers have been with me since the start in 2001. New and returning Customers are always welcome and we can supply the necessary Tackle and bait too when given sufficient notice. A nice big stable boat and we look forward to hearing from you soon, we even offer a 'No Fish-No Fee' policy to everyone who comes with us.....book now and join our growing group of Supporters, thanks, Malcolm, 'Just Mary', Poole, Dorset, UK.

  • 06/05/2016 Fishing Report by TERRY BATT on Vanishing Point-2 (Bradwell Marina, Essex)

6 May 2016 by TERRY BATT

    Report on-board Vanishing Point-2

We had a full boat yesterday, well I say full, we could have fitted Brad on if he had called back..?? but we went with a party of 9 anglers, after a 17 minute dash from our home port of Bradwell at 22 knots we arrived on a spot I was interested to see if it would produce fish in this big spring tide, ??
It was a bit slow for the first 20 minutes, when I say slow, NOTHING..!! and as I was beginning to think I had got it wrong, the first rod bent double..!! a nice 11 lbs Roker, and as we netted that, the net was being called for at the bow, so off we went..and it was pretty much non stop, until slack water, then as fast as it started it stopped...
But after an hour of sitting round while my lovely wife Nicola cooked up a host of burgers, sausages, bacon, and dished them out to everyone after a hectic mornings fishing, washed down with a nice cup of tea and coffee, the ebb started to get away....!!
Then we were off again, one after the other.... a great day out with great anglers..... sorry you were not on board Brad, but I hope you had a great day wherever you went, I am sure you did..
Well as I said earlier in the week, we wont be out over the weekend as I am playing music in London and we are stating in the Marriott hotel there so back late Sunday..
We have slots available throughout next week, so if you have any time off and you want to go fishing our Clay shooting... Call:

    Report on-board Seawatch1

THIS WAS MY FIRST TRIP OUT ON SEAWATCH 1, AND IT WAS THE BEST DAYS FISHING ID HAD IN A VERY LONG TIME. I HAD MY PB THORNBACK RAY WEIGHING IN AT 12LB. AFTER THE WEIGHING AND PHOTOS WERE OVER SHE WAS SAFELY RETURNED BACK TO THE WATER. THE SKIPPER LESTER BAKER, HE WAS LIKE YOUR BEST FRIEND ALWAYS THERE WHEN YOU NEEDED HIM, IF HE SAW YOUR ROD BENDING WHILST REELING IN HE WAS THERE WITH THE NET AND WHEN THE FISH WAS ON BOARD HE WOULD HAVE THE HOOK REMOVED BEFORE YOU COULD PUT YOUR ROD DOWN. TOWARDS THE END OF THE DAY LESTER APPEARED ON DECK WITH A LARGE PLATE OF BUTTERED ROLLS, SAUSAGES, AND A BOTTLE OF KETCHUP, WHO COULD ASK FOR A BETTER SKIPPER. IVE ALREADY BOOKED MY NEXT TRIP ON SEAWATCH 1 AND I CANT WAIT. THANK YOU LESTER FOR A GREAT DAYS FISHING, REGARDS NIGEL.

  • 30/04/2016 Fishing Report by Kevin Wyatt on Obsession (Mevagissey, Cornwall)

30 Apr 2016 by Kevin Wyatt

    Report on-board Obsession

Saterday 30th April saw Obsession offshore again, with a gap in the relentless wind blowing all the time lately -Anyway that's the doom and gloom out the way Let's get back to the fishing, after a steady stream out to our intendid wreck we found some pollock but were abit on the small side but after a chat on the radio with ross of Spot-on, ross put us on to another wreck which he said was holding bigger fish and rightly so in no time we had bent rods with good pollock pulling hard at the other end, which goes to show it is Easier to work Together than work Against one Another, the Rest of them should try it some day.Anyway with the fish steadly coming to the net time was flying and with the wind picking up again it was time to head home, with hopeing the cod will show up soon in numbers We are looking forward to getting back out there as soon as possible.and for those chaps that like conger fishing you have come to the right place as I love those Big ugly bruts -the bigger the better,, don't forget the ray's and flatteys on the skerries for the chap's that don't like to travel to offshore.. So if you want to book a place on Brixhams newest edition to the charter fleet and join OBSESSION, the massive 40ft charter boat then please Call or Text kev on 07964053347

  • 02/05/2016 Fishing Report by Les Jones on White Maiden II (Lymington, Hampshire)

2 May 2016 by Les Jones

    Report on-board White Maiden II

Had a good day out yesterday on White Maiden hosting and observing some of the England Boat Team members with Matt Osborne catching the best Black Bream at 3lb 2oz. Steve Batchelor proved they were there, at our second mark, with Black Bream getting bigger through the tide. Gary Galbraith caught his contender followed by Martin Bobbet but both were pipped by Matt just before we moved off, for a go at the Plaice. The better Plaice showed up in the end with Gary taking a few small ones before this double shot and then again, at lines up, Cots took the money with the biggest Plaice at 2lb 2oz. Other species caught were Pollock, Bull Huss, Ballions and Ballan Wrasse, Dogs, Pout and Garfish.

  • 03/05/2016 Fishing Report by Trevor Crawley on Girl Mandy (Southend-On-Sea, Essex)

3 May 2016 by Trevor Crawley

    Report on-board Girl Mandy

Hi Folks just a quick update for the bank holiday weekend lots of skate on all three days plus the neverending dogs a report of a codling on sat but nothing to speak of.Monday was a little slower due to the 26 to 36 mph winds but a great day was had by Graham and the lads and the rain managed to stay away until after we landed so all in all a great long weekend. I somehow dont think the spring run of cod will now come so its eyes down for the summer species bigger hounds and the bass plus hopefully some mackerel this year so until next time super fishing and tight lines regards Trev
