Report on-board Vanishing Point-2
Not much fishing done this week due to the weather.
But we are due to sail on Saturday, as we have quite a few Thornback Ray's in the river at the moment, and some reasonable Codling, along with quite a lot of Whiting and some very nice Dabs..!! nice to see them making a come back.
So not much to report this week, but hopefully report back after Saturday's charter.. ... Tight lines..!!!

We've missed out on a fair few trips due to the strong winds lately. However we did manage to get out to the Wrecks at the end of October and the Cod are still playing ball. We also have managed to get out there at the start of November and managed a few nice Pollock along with Cod all just under an hours steaming.
The Skerries banks are still producing Plaice but has slowed up now.
"Just Fishing" will remain ready and available during the winter months for the large Cod and Pollock.
We are already taking bookings for 2016 with Skerries Charters at £350 for the day and Wrecking charters Starting at £450.
Also vouchers are available for xmas.

Weather not playing ball at the moment but we managed to get out Saturday the 1 st day on Whitby sea anglers Uptiding competition we didn't manage all day only 5 hours but the cod were biting Neil windows a local lad set the ball rolling with his 7lb 2 oz cod for the£1000 top prize plus Neil also had the biggist bag of cod on the day With his 38 lb bag not bad considering we were only fishing just over 4 hrs tight under the cliffs in 50 ft of water .
Out again tommorow a break in the wind so fingers crossed it can all change those doubles could pop there heads out here is Neil with his 7lb 2oz cod taking 1st in the daily prize and setting £1000 ball rolling Well done Neil .
Uptiding festival 7th November to 22nd inclusive £1000 for the biggist cod and £3000 in cash prizes still an odd place left give me a bell some excellent fishing .

Bringing us up to date for weekend of 7/8th Nov, been bit of a mixed few weeks really still catching doggies water temperature 13 degrees still, then few codling up to 5lb . Have been plagued with whiting even though alot of keepers among them not really a fish you want to photo, so hence lack of pics lately! They have been stripping the baits catching two even three at a time but hopefully should be thinning out soon giving us half a chance. Last trip ended up on a bass Adam pictured here 48cm nice to see from a place bass seldom caught for us usually, also had 3 small thornbacks, 3 codling few flatties as normal and whiting all day. Very strong winds but managed to fish to mid afternoon both days before tide turned very lucky! Thanks to Dereham Angling club also to Pete our throttle man for his steady hand on way home! Looking ahead been asked for night trips will do just waiting for few more codling basically and weather turning colder if you want to be contacted and get on the list rather than see trips on website get your name down with me by email or text and you get prior notice, trips normally leave around 6pm till midnight same price nothing changes £45 add a £5 using my gear to cover losses. We will be trying the deeper water on upcoming trips when weather allows so if your booked on and we get a slot in the weather so be it, otherwise inshore but were extremely lucky for our constantly productive marks inside so lets look after them. Some nice Cod /codling being caught from Ramsgate with lots of whiting and pouting.Still seeing Rays on slack water should see plenty of fish over the next few weeks.Photo shows Maris with his 9 pound cod caught on the 5th November 2015.

The boat is currently out of the water in the boatyard undergoing some much needed end of season work!
Hopefully we will be back afloat within a couple of weeks (weather permitting)
On our last trip off we had a couple of real good days on the rough ground. The fishing remains very good here for the lads and we are still catching plenty real close to shore too which is always a bonus.
I have (as always) the use of my mates boat whilst ours is unavailable, so if any of you fancy getting a day in before the festivities start give me a ring.

First day back at it after a very relaxing family holiday, It was also the 1st day of our Mistress festive sweepstake here at Whitby
Conditions weren't the best to be honest but we got a morning in, in testing conditions with the wind being over the tide it took a while for the boat to lay properly at anchor,
The fishing was good though, Mistress regular, Gary Price has set a good bag weight in the sweepstake at 40lb 5oz with 15 fish, and we were back in just after lunch, Gary fished very well indeed!.
Rob Gillings got the heaviest fish in the sweep so far at 5lb 4oz, Im sure this will be smashed though as we had fish upto 7lb on the boat.
