Today is the last day of late summer festival here at Whitby stacks of cod and ling for lads again yesterday here is Gary jones with a nice double figure cod some real quality fish showing cod and ling .

A good day on the Skerries with our first Turbot from there weighing in @ 5lb some nice plump plaice with the youngsters returned to grow and reproduce and the usual smattering of Gurnards and Dogfish, more outings planned for October

fri 18th sept
weathers been hitty miss lately, the weather finally let off the last 2 days, so off looking for cod and lings,
still plenty of mackerel for bait, was no problem. picked fish up at every wreck we visited, and as September is traditionally big ling month most of the fish was ling, we also had around 8 Pollack all around the 5-6lbs mark
a good few cod to 8lbs and some lovely ling with several double figure ling and the bulk around6-8lbs
ended up with around 80 plus fish, best keiths nice ling of 17.5lbs View Boats Page

A Recent Wreck fishing trip was just SUPERB and produced plenty of Cod and Pollack and two Bass. Pictured is Richard Phillips with a 10Ib Cod he caught on a Pink Red Gill Lure,Richard caught lots of Cod during the trip and some Pollack.

Had full crew aboard yesterday and they had a ball some very good fishing on the inshore wrecks the lads had stacks of cod between 4-8 lb a really nice stamp of fish and plenty of lings as well plus nice few pollock .
The tides are now on there way down so it's looking like some very good fishing on the cards some excellent sport in prospect .

We bit the bullet and went for a good steam off today, the journey was well worth it, all the fish were 4/5lb-8/9lb, unbelievable stamp of cod, needless to say the lads were all over the moon!
The autumn fishing has followed on from an outstanding summer here at Whitby
The fish are still out there, so we just need a spell of good weather to get to the offshore wrecks to extract them!

Torbay Festival was hampered again this year with some easterly winds meaning Spot On couldn't fish some days, however I am pleased to announce once again this year Spot On was again top boat from Brixham.
Some great fish and some great trophies and prizes won for my anglers, so well done guys.
Spot On is Brixhams only Catamaran offering speed, stability, comfort and plenty of room
It has come to light that some local skippers seem to have become a bit green eyed with jealousy and have tried to hamper my reports which I feel is a real shame as they are trying to stop 'you' the anglers and readers seeing my reports and catches.
All I can say is the competition results speak for themselves.
The catch gallery speaks for itself and still the only charter boat in Brixham to catch Blue and Porbeagle sharks.
Oh I almost forgot, not to mention winning CBUK catch of the month 8 times along with holding 3 CBUK record catches, feel free to check out the other local boats and make up your own mind.
Rant over so thank you to my anglers old and new who have come to me from other charter boats and who have been with me from the beginning, I welcome your custom and support of Spot On and Brixham and I will do my best to get you the fish you dream of.
