Report on-board Mistress Linda / San Gina3
Sept
This month has started well with a good run of quality Trigger fish being caught, the inshore drift fishing has seen good catches of Gurnard (Tub, Red, a Grey and the odd Streaked) and Plaice. On the outer marks during the weaker tides there has been plenty of action with Rays, Congers, Tope and Bull Huss all fighting to grab the bait whilst off to sea on the wrecks and banks big Black and Red Bream are being landed with fish in the region of 5lb + showing. Grab your chance before the season finishes and come out fishing with us.View Boats Page

Fishing Report by Simon Fisher

Report on-board Just Fishing
A Great start to September onboard Brixham based " Just Fishing"
At the beginning of the month we fished the Skerries Banks and at last are starting to catch plump Plaice, along with a few Small Eyed Ray on the drift, best of which was just shy if 9lb.
Out on the wrecks the fishing continues to be steady. Typical sized Pollock for this time of year up to 10lb with a few Bass on the bigger tides. We're still catching Cod and Ling on Lures and drifting with Mackerel Flappers, best Ling so far this month was caught by Mike Smith weighing 16lb, although we have lost a number of better fish. At Anchor we have had a nice run of Black Bream making some good sport on lighter gear, best so far was taken by Skipper Simon Fisher at 3lb 15oz. Along with the Bream we've also had loads of Conger Eel around 25-30lb mark with a few larger ones being boated, biggest so far this month was 65lb 5oz caught by Jason Hemmings.
With " Just Fishing " running for just over six weeks now we've had some great fish onboard already, along with some great anglers too.
We will remain available and ready during the winter months to target the large Pollock and Cod.

Report on-board Shy-Torque III
After a week off work for strong Northerly's we sailed again today quite trepidant. We fully expected to find the water to be cloudy but were pleasantly surprised to find it was still clear enough to have a fantastic days shad fishing. 9 anglers boated over 150 cod to just under 9lb. All the fish taken off just 2 wrecks some 18 miles from shore.
Places left in this competition are (3 on 15th Sept and 1 on the 16th Sept.
Great sport at present lads.
Get your places booked while it's committing suicide!!!

Fishing Report by TERRY BATT
on Vanishing Point-2 (Bradwell Marina, Essex)

Report on-board Vanishing Point-2
We did it again…!!!!!
Monday 7/9/15
I had a group of anglers from Newmarket and they arrived on Vanishing Point-2 at 0730, we were all ready for them, so within a few minutes the ropes were cast off, and we were on our way once again to the prolific offshore mark that fished so well yesterday (although we couldn’t fish it for the first 2 hours yesterday due to conditions) but today we were determined to hit our mark 26 miles out from Bradwell for the first of the ebb..!!
Once we arrived on the mark, it was a little on the swelly side but no problem to our huge cat..!!! So once the anchor went down, lines were cast out, and within 2 minutes Mike had a lovely fish on, so quick in fact some of the others hadn’t even cast in..!!!! What…!!!!!!!!! They had a quid for the first fish, so that fish was null and void.
After about 6 or 7 minutes we had a double hook up, one fish 12 lbs, and another 9 lbs, and it just didn’t stop all day..!! I don’t know exactly how many Skate were caught today??? Somewhere between 55 and 60 really good fish, many around the 10 lbs mark I would say, they kept around 18 fish, and some of the larger dog fish, but returned a lot of fish to the water alive..!!! great fishing, by great fishermen, some for the table, and many returned to fight another day… well done chaps really good day, hope we see you all again soon..View Boats Page
