Fishing Report by TERRY BATT
on Vanishing Point-2 (Bradwell Marina, Essex)

Report on-board Vanishing Point-2
The weekend was good on Saturday with my old mate Mark Smith and his mates out with us, weather was good, we fished for Smoothounds for the first part of the day, then went shallow for Bass for the next part.
the Hounds were quite good sport with young Zoe landing the biggest one at around 12 lbs, but the Bass although they were there, didn't really kick off like we had hoped.
There were some cashing bites, but by the time the rod was picked up and struck, the fish was long gone..! one or two of our anglers, did it right and held the rods, and as soon as the Bass hit they were on it..!! now that's the way to catch these fast swimming predatory fish..!
They were not the biggest Bass in the world but big enough, and in just 4 feet of water go like grease lightning.!!.
Sunday 5th July what a difference, from the hot sunny day 24 hour previously, we woke up to cloud, drizzle,
so we set off with the same agenda in mind, yeah we got a few hounds, not so easy as the day before due to the conditions, then and low water we went shallow for Bass but with the weather against us, wind over tide, some slapping of waves on the hull, so a bit of noise, we didn't have a great deal of luck on the Bass front a few but not great.
But typical for that kind of day, after the lads poking up with crap weather all day, wind and driving rain, but no moans or groans...!!! UNTIL, we got back to Bradwell in the birth, the sun came out, the wind fell away, blue sky, and quickly became very hot....... is some one having a laugh...!!!! lol
But that's fishing for you, man verses the elements.View Boats Page

Report on-board PLAN B
Another cracking weekends fishing with plenty of double figure fish coming over the side.
Lots of lost fish where line parted due to the sheer speed and strenght of the hounds in shallow water, testing both tackle and anglers to the limits.... BrilliantView Boats Page

Report on-board Channel Warrior
Best fish last month on channel warrior was caught by ex skipper Chris Reeks, a cod of 21lb. The fishing so far this year as been nothing short of fantastic, with all the cod that's about and now the bass are showing with a few black bream it's exciting times ahead and fingers crossed that the wind will not be too strong and let us out after them

Report on-board Piscary
Tricky weather again this week making the fishing difficult, had another great match though this weekend with the Angling Trust Wessex champion of champions, in a very tight match Piscary just managed to become top boat again after Gill won overall with 130 points, narrowly beating Ray Barron with 129 points on Random Harvest. Big thanks to Kim Bowden and everyone at the Angling Trust Wessex for another great match out of Poole

Fishing Report by Bob Marshall
on Duke IV (Ramsgate, Kent)
5 Jul 2015 by Bob Marshall
Report on-board Duke IV
The Bass are shoaling off Ramsgate now, the 4 angler's today landing over 100 to 4lbs on hokkies, the fisheries rules allow us to keep 3 Bass per angler so all but the best fish returned. Also today we have Mackerel and Skate so a hectic few hours it has been. Some quality Hounds around with fish to 10lbs on lug/squid cocktails, this bait being the favourite of the doggies so plenty of them too. The wreck fishing has been hit or miss with Cod and Pollock to the lures. Pic shows today's group with some of the Bass. Still space and date's available on Duke IV, call me on 07715050851 to book! Tight lines Bob
