    Report on-board Flamer IV

The Wreck fishing trips continue to be very good with excellent catches of Cod .A variety lures have been used but the Cod's favorites seem to be Pink Red Gill and Pink or Rhubarb and Custard Sidewinders. On a recent Trip Nick Gunn was joined by three friends who had not fished on Flamer IV before and they were amazed at the quality of the Cod fishing on their Wrecking Trip. Nick is pictured with an 11Ib 4oz Cod.

The Cod fishing is excellent at this time - Don't Miss Out.

The Belgium fishing club are in town for the week, fishing aboard Duke IV. Yesterday we landed 16 Hounds to 9lb, 8 Skate to 12lb 8oz along with a nice Bass.
Today 18 Hounds along with 9 Skate. The Hounds have been caught on crab with the Skate preferring 2 yr old Mackerel f
    chunks, how strange is that?
Great fishing making it worth the trip from Belgium. Some weekend date's available if you want some action.

14 May 2015 by Rich Ward

    Report on-board Shy-Torque III

After having a few of the best days we've had so far this year just recently, today showed us all exactly why we should never take angling for granted when the going is good!!!

The conditions to start the day were absolutely perfect with a flat calm sea. A few codlings were boated in the first hour but nothing like we've been seeing lately. The breeze then started picking up from the "dreaded" Easterly direction and we struggled to find the fish. A dozen or so moves were fairly unrewarded with just a few more codling boated. We finished off on a fairly unknown strip of ground at the end of the day and we managed to save it.

The lads ended up with around 50 codling between them which they were all very happy with.

At the end of the day all we can do is keep trying. There's never a guarantee in this game!!

The lads (Ronnie, Joel and James) are pictured with a few of their catch.

    Tight lines
    Rich.

    Report on-board High Flyer 2

Cracking start to the day weather wise forcast light wind sun was out with calm seas pleasure just to be out. Makes a change from the last few trips! Due to the tide time decided to fish straight away inshore a little hole i use here and there off the channel hoping for few skate. Was bit of a slow start with few doggies coming aboard, then one codling appeared only one of the day. as tide weakened our luck changed ended up with 3 rokers more dogs and few smoothounds and couple of dreaded whiting. The wind picked up slightly NE nothing major , clouded over too so decided on the start of the flood to head north up the turbines. Paid off with doggies and smoothies from the start but after a hour the deeper water was a bit hard to hold bottom so came right inshore to another hole i use in the summer. Biggest fish of the day fell to Jonsey pictured here with 8lb smoothy nice start to the season, was a good day in all with fish pretty constant throughout the day to be honest. Big thanks to all the lads was a most enjoyable day most first time on the High Flyer, looking forward to seeing you all again at some point. Until then all the best. Jon. (High Flyer)

    Report on-board Vanishing Point-2

Bummer...!!!! cancelled today as the weather was forecast to be raining all day, Easterly 25mph so wind against tide basically a crap day...

I got up this morning looked out my window to sunshine, a 10 mph Easterly, (not too bad) and now they say we wont get any rain until around 1600 this afternoon ..!!! what are they on..!!

I had two guys coming over from Belgium to-day who were so eager to fish on the mighty Vanishing Point-2 as they have heard so much about her and was looking forward to stepping aboard.

Oh well, we will see what tomorrow brings, hopefully find some of those big Hounds..!!!

13 May 2015 by TERRY BATT

    Report on-board Vanishing Point-2

    Hi Guys
Well I said I would report on today's exploratory trip looking for big hounds if they were around to an undisclosed mark, and boy did we find them..!!!

We had 45 hounds to 13lbs Codling to 5lbs, and Skate to 8lbs, yep a real good day with the target species found.

I wont go on about it as it's late and it's been a long day, but I will start to sort out some prices to take parties to this Holy grail of hound fishing, as it is a fair way the diesel cost will be an added cost but with the speed of Vanishing Point-2 if we push the engines a bit harder (obviously using quite a bit more fuel) we can get to the mark in around an hour, travelling at 25 knots, so not much chance of being followed..!!!

    Talk soon guys....!!!!!

    Tight lines...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
