Report on-board Just Mary
Hi All, with the weather window as forecast on Bank Holiday Monday and having cancelled both weekend, Saturday and Sunday dates, we enjoyed a good day Bream fishing in Poole Bay. My Facebook blog on 'Onamission Charters' has more details, photos, Anglers comments and links so if you can please read that in full. However suffice to say that the Bream are IN and Poole Bay marks are fishing well if only we could get some light winds, nice Sunshine and calm seas to enjoy this great Sport. So until then.....all the best, Malc, 'Just Mary', Poole.

Saturday2cd May conditions not the best for Tim,Tanya and Neil with a easterly hitting us on the side it was a bit rock and roll but we stuck at it out on the s/holm only 2 rooker both around the 5/6lb mark plagued by spottys, hounds and pin whiting robbing the baits as soon as they were on the bottom, also if any one is fishing in that area and you pull a survaron rod and a greys reel attached can you give me a call iam sure there would be a reward from Neil who lost it over the side to a big rooker or hound 07771926590,Monday4th May forcast giving a bit of a blow later so decided to keep inside today fishing was steady all day with so many spotty dogs, hounds and whiting again i was wondering if we would be lucky in getting some decent for the boys to take home but it didnt let us down only 2 rooker again today with 2 small cod came to the boat with Matt losing a big rooker it never surfaced it bust him off before it rised off the bottom never mind you will be able to have a go for that one some time in the future,Brian

A brief let up in the weather allowed us to get out yesterday.

The conditions were much better than expected so we headed out to the Kingmere Rocks in search of Bream.
The crew was organised by regular Jim who later wished he had insisted that half of them hadn't gone out on a session the day before.
Needless to say these guys were not well for most of the day, leaving Jim to catch the fish.
First on board was a nice Pollack followed by a few Wrasse.
As the tide turned we finally got into some Bream, and that was how we carried on....steady fishing with some nice fish landed.
The best bream were landed on Size 1 Sakuma Chinu hooks on a simple flowing trace and squid baits.
More wind this week so fingers crossed we get a settled period soon! -

Easterly wind today generally a hard fish as the old saying goes! Was too lumpy outside the bank today so stayed inshore as we have a run at the moment of mixed bag up the inside as luck would have it. Started off with two nice end of season codling coming aboard few doggies too and some very tiny smoothies lovely to see fishtank size! As tide slackend was pin whiting time but a bit of sport then decided to move right inshore in the hope of a bass or two as the ebb started. No bass today for us little buggers are not in numbers yet still water temperature down for this time of year proved by another small codling coming aboard and more whiting. Ended the day with a right mixed bag few flatties thrown in, mainly spotty dogs all day and few smoothies to add, no skate for us today but in fairness wasnt expecting them in a easterly wind. Thanks to Josepth and the lads from Maderia (bit of a fishing change for them) also John and Terry and lads here Tauridas, pictured with few doggies of the day for the table. Got a bit lumpy at end the day so came in slightly earlier , thought everyone done well despite the conditions, was a good day in the end. Thanks lads look forward to seeing you soon. Jon. (High Flyer)
