Hopefully towards end of March we will see the start of a new season with the skate showing up, the dreaded doggies too but first the spring codling still about few good days still to be had for those interested would recomend a trip to those wary of their sea legs as right inshore and fishing within 15 mins makes a easy day.Still getting decent whiting for the time of year with the flatties getting more in numbers as we get more into spring. Worm baits still the best at the moment few early peelers in our pots so water definately warming up.
Looking to do more tope trips this year for those interested so popular last year even though we struggled with the mackerel we done ok, great for sport and conservation as they all go back , keep eye out on website for listings or email to be put on database for alerts as to what trips are going, to jump the que before the website.
Our evening trips from 6pm till midnight midweek (normally) limited as we work around slack water around 9pm will be kicking off soon as skate arrive , generally flat calm conditions as wind drops at night and i think fish feed better. Home by 12pm so you can go to work next day knackered but who cares!
Looking forward to 2015 hoping to see few faces from past again, our regulars who support us throughout the year very much appreciated, any queries please ask, until then,

Absolute Red Letter Day Wrecking - 17/3/15
View Boats Page
We put to sea today with the soul intention of going wrecking, the tides are just starting to lift so today was really the last window until the neaps come round again next time,
As soon as we arrived at my chosen wreck, just looking on the sounder I knew it was going to be one of those days!
I set up the drift and wallop, every rod was into fish, we even got a second drop and second helping of fish, this continued trough slack water until the tide got away, then the fishing slowed a bit as the water clarity wasnt fantastic but clear enough for the shads.
we were still managing a fish a piece a drift.
by 1pm the lads had pretty much had their fill each with a level box of fish a piece, with some really nice fish boated into double figures and we called it a day stopping at a couple more bits of scrap on the way home.
The lads were delighted, The prospects are certainly looking good for the upcoming season, if you fancy a trip give me a call on 07977 436903

Report on-board Vanishing Point-2
Hi Guys,
View Boats Page
I was out on my mates boat at the weekend, and there are loads of Codling around at the moment..!!
a few Thornbacks are coming out, and that will get better in the coming weeks .
Our boat hits the water next week, ready to start fishing in earnest, after those Cod and Rays, we are looking forward to welcoming new and old customers on this the amazing vessel, and hope you will love the experience as much as me and Nicola do every time we go out on it.
I must clear up one point that has come to my attention..!!! contrary to rumours that are being passed around about me and Nicola going back to the Irish sea to work for the next 6 months..!!!!! we have no such plans, so if your wondering, best talk direct to us and we will give you the facts about our movements, I am sure this has not been done with no malicious intended, just misinformation from people that think they know what there talking about, but no harm done, we will just get on with the fishing.....Tight lines -

Last Sundays fishing was pretty good aboard the Shy-Torque.

A regular mixed group of lads from Richmond, Nottingham and South Yorkshire sailed with us.
We returned back to the 9 mile area where the fishing was good but not quite as good as the day before.
Best bag went to Nigel Hall from East Cowton nr Richmond with 13 codling to 5lb.
Best fish went to Polish Greg from Nottingham.
Everyone went home with a nice "fry" for the table!!
Most of the fish caught were taken on the shads. Clear water at last lads!!
Spring is just around the corner and with signs as good as this it's looking like we're going to get a good start to the season.
Give me a ring any time to book a trip.

This last weekend was a little better, however the wind was from an East North East direction but ok to work.
The lads on board were from the "Telstar" angling club in Barnsley.
Richard, Gary and John had the boat booked on Saturday and had a great days fishing on the 9 mile ground.
No cod above 5lb but plenty of them!
Gary had the best catch with 22 cod himself!
John had the heaviest fish with a 6lb Wolf fish. Quite a surprise for this time of year.
Great day lads and excellent company.
Cheers
