Report on-board Vanishing Point-2
Hi Guys n Ga'ls,
View Boats Page
well I have just updated the CBUK diary, and have just started taking bookings in earnest for fishing now.
I did have to re-update the diary several times, as people were phoning in to book spaces as I was trying to update.... Crazy, but very nice though, thank you guys.
You will obviously see a lot of green marks in the diary indicating the whole boat is available, as after having been away for the best part of Five years, we didn't want to start promising our customers dates we were not sure we could fulfil, or if we would even be back..!! so we have just opened the book today..!! and from the one charter we ran, as a test drive a couple of week ago, the party said the Vanishing Point-2 really had the
X factor, thanks guys.!!!
Well if you want to call us to make your booking, you can reach us on ... 07768 30 66 46 or 01621 786 170
Ok, everyone, thanks again and hope to see you all soon..
Dates have started to go..Thank you guys.... keep em coming!
Tight lines....... Terry & Nicola.. -

We put to sea yesterday morning as planned, with a view to going wrecking, when we nudged out the pier ends it was a bit shabby to say the least!

so we plodded out to the 4 & 5 mile where we had a few drifts on some wrecks, the drift was a bit too quick tbh BUT we managed to get a few codlings on board upto 5lb, and dropped others off so the signs are there,
We waited and went back inside for the edd tide and got the anchor down. Even on the small tide we managed to take a steady picking of fish, finishing up with 30-40 cod for the boat,
Tony Barret took 15 himself, using the NashBaits big squid attractor aditive, well done mate. The stamp of fish was generally good, most in the 3lb bracket with a few more upto 6lb

Report on-board Spot On!
The weather has not been kind to us in March so far so it was nice to get out for are first and only trip of March 2015 so far and again we were greeted with some brilliant Pollock fishing.
View Boats Page
It was clear this was going to be a good day from the off with the guys brining in plenty of decent fish every drift, after a few more drifts instead of staying on the one wreck all day pulling in Pollock after Pollock we decided we needed to have a look for some bigger specimens so we went steaming off here there and everywhere but all wrecks were producing similar size Pollock and although we had a fair few double figured fish the average size was 6-8lb's, Regular angler 'Bill the snag' managed the best fish of the day which tipped the scales at 15lb 8oz.
My thanks goes out to the guys for making the trip enjoyable and certainly one of the best 'catching' days in terms of quantity that I have had on board Spot On.
2015 Dates are filling very fast and I think this shows testament to 'Spot On' being Brixham's and Torbay's number one charter boat.

Report on-board Flamer IV
TOP COD - I had a bus mans holiday, by which I mean I went fishing for a day.Dave Gibson skipper of the Meer- Kat who is retiring soon invited myself and Andy Collings out for a few hours fishing which was really enjoyable. The fishing was a bit quiet but we had some nice Spur dogs along with the usual Dogfish and Whiting also a small Turbot But the catch of the day was the 20Ib Cod I caught on a Squid and Mackerel cocktail bait presented on a pennel rig of Sakuma Stinger hooks. I filleted the Cod and gave it to Dave thus doing my bit for "Help The Aged", "Well he is going to be a poor old pensioner soon".

Spring seems to be imminent , a few nicer days starting come our way,
We've managed to get out on the water and get stuck into the wrecking season. The last few days we have experienced some of the best pollacking we get, such a relief after last years disaster after the storms.
Let's hope this good start to the season carrys on. -

Absolutely Belting Evening Uptiding

We fished yesterday as planned 2pm till 8pm, the weather fell away perfect for us fishing the flood tide,
We got set up on our first spot just as the tide got away, it was steady a hour or so we must have taken a good 20 or so fish there including a double hook up on my pennel rig!,
I moved again and it was slow in this spot we lost a few and bagged a few,
So I picked up for the what turned out the be the final move, dusk was just setting in as we settled in, and the fishing went ballistic!
The rods were just nodding non stop, it turned out the best lad,Gary Arkle from Newcastle, had landed the best part of 30 cod himself! giving Gary credit, he returned most of his fish even though they were size, as did the others on board, plenty returned to fight another day,
Tallying up on the way in we had had a belter session taking between 70 & 80 cod in around 5 hours fishing!

Report on-board Seawatch1
The fishing in March has carried on much the same as February with some good catches of codling to four pounds in our area, the last set of spring tides saw them push back up the river Blackwater giving some sport on the windier days for some of the boats. With the weather turning a bit more like spring there have been a few more Thornback rays being caught, these will increase all the time now and with the codling should provide some excellent sport in the next few weeks before winter finally gives way to summer.

A great first day out with Rich Cope and Mistress.

Slow start but once the tide turned the sport picked up quickly.
Good trip with Rich and crewman Alex, whose 7 year son Kai took the top spot on the day.
Great bag of cod, including a 7 pounder put us all to shame. Top man Kai, a star in the making.
Watch out Rich he'll be after your job next
My first trip with this skipper but definitely not the last
