    Report on-board Hurricane

Fished on Hurricane today with mein hosts Gareth & Will. Plenty of bites and plenty of codling. Great day had by all. Skipper gave his wealth of fishing experience to us all day. Which resulted in a very productive 8 hours.
Thanks Guy's. From the stinky bait gluggers

    Report on-board Hurricane

Fishing remains very good with plenty codling showing in river medway and lets hope it lasts a bit longer.
No huge fish but just nice table size fish and plenty of these with most trips averaging 30 to 40 between 6 anglers with a good show of quality whiting mixed in also.
Its been a few years since we had such a good show of nice fish and happy punters all round.
The big advantage we have is that we can fish in all but the worst weather when all the boats round the coast are tied up .
Lots of happy customers is good news all round

  • 17/01/2015 Fishing Report by Bob Marshall on Duke IV (Ramsgate, Kent)

17 Jan 2015 by Bob Marshall

    Report on-board Duke IV

Fishing remains good with plenty to catch provided the weather allows us to get out.
Codling around in good numbers along with Skate and Whiting, sprats are starting to show so may draw the Cod higher in the water making them difficult to catch.
Skate however will stay the bottom so still good size fish to catch.
Duke IV is being lifted out of the water in February for maintenance but we
still have spaces available on the 31st of January trip. Call me to book your place.
Hoping for good fishing throughout 2015. Bob

  • 15/01/2015 Fishing Report by Sam Cumming on Silver Spray II (Poole, Dorset)

15 Jan 2015 by Sam Cumming

    Report on-board Silver Spray II

    January Report:

Unfortunately since my last report I have managed a grand total of 3 trips so I’ll keep this short and sweet. On the 28th December we got out in a strong north-easterly breeze for the Sea Fishing Poole Cod Competition. Although conditions meant the day was a little bit quiet with mostly dogfish pout and whiting hitting the deck, one angler had possibly the best days fishing of his life. Tony Lees managed to land a new boat record bass for Silver Spray II weighing in at 15lb 8oz. He used a single squid stuffed with limpet and trotted it right back in the tide using a much lighter lead than other anglers. There is something about this technique that tends to temp the odd big bass in the winter, this time in just happened to be the biggest bass I’ve ever seen. Just to round his day off Tony landed a 15lb cod to weigh in at the competition and claimed himself 4th prize, many thanks to Steve Porter for organising. To round the year off we headed offshore for our first trip out to the banks on a flat calm day with no wind at all. The fishing was brilliant, as it was this time last year, with spur dogs coming up to 19lb and blonde rays up to 28lb in the morning. In the afternoon we changed marks to fish a different type of ground, we found that the harder ground produced more congers and undulate rays and only the one spur dog. Fingers crossed that the weather improves and we can head back out there again before the end of this neap tide.

  • 14/01/2015 Fishing Report by TERRY BATT on Vanishing Point-2 (Bradwell Marina, Essex)

14 Jan 2015 by TERRY BATT

    Report on-board Vanishing Point-2

Well.. after the long wait for Vanishing Point-2 to make her homeward journey to Essex some 750 miles from the Irish sea where she has been working since she was built 2 years ago, that day is getting closer everyday..!! she is in Essex and has been for quite a few weeks under going a make over and getting ready for charter fishing rather that wind farm work.

All new accommodation has been constructed, the boat is having all new carpets being laid next week, fishing positions around the boat are being installed, we are looking into the possibility to see if it is possible to
re-instate the clay trap we had on Vicky Emma, for Clay pigeon shooting, on calm days at sea, as many of you will remember, like we did before, but that would be subject to Police approval and coast guard permission.

So we will start taking booking for charters from February onwards.... and just to confirm that the rumours of Vanishing Point-2 coming to Bradwell with Terry & Nicola are true, and firmly back in the driving seat, and we would welcome all our old friends and new aboard our new vessel and hope you love it as we do, a charter boat unrivalled by any other...... come and see for your self...

Tight lines everyone, see you in a few weeks

    Terry & Nicola....
