Report on-board Duke IV
The fine weather has allowed us to travel offshore where we have found good fishing on The Varne Bank with some nice Bass on live sandeels and pirks. Darrens group did well on the wrecks landing 20 Bass to around 4lb.
View Boats Page
Marcs group found the fishing a challenge with a strong tidal flow and swell but jumbo Mackerel and Bass made up for the tough day.
Terrys group today from Sheppey managed a couple of Bass from the wreck along with some on pirks on the bank edge. They also landed some nice Gurnard and Codling along with a good haul of Mackerel.
Inshore has been encouraging with some nice Smoothounds to lug/squid cocktails. Still a few Skate and quality Bass being landed so plenty to fish for. Given continued good weather the inshore fishing should improve with more Bass and Mackerel shoaling on the banks to Hokkies and feathers. -

Report on-board Skylark
Had a Cracking 6 hour wrecking trip today.

we traveled to the wrecks between 4 and 7 mile East of Scarborough. the weather was lovely a nice flat sea and the sun was beaming down on us all day.
the first drift had 4 anglers doubled over with nice size cod and ling around the 6 lb mark.
fishing was great for 3 hours then the fish size got smaller with some nice size whitings and pout been caught.
the heaviest fish of the day was a 12 lb Ling, and the heaviest bag been just over 40 lb.
mainly novice anglers today but they were a great set of lads. -

Report on-board Supanova II
Hi All,
View Boats Page
a lifetime since the last report, things have been crazy busy with the wonderful weather we have been experiencing. 4 channel islands crosiing in May proved fairly fruitful, numbers of Flatfish were down a little on previous years but the quality was for sure much better with more double figure fish than i have ever seen which can only be a good thing. This goes to show that the strict 45cm size limit i operate can pay off if you give the smaller fish a chance.
The wrecking the last couple of months has been fantatstic with great catches of Cod and Pollack which has been nice to see, althoigh things have tailed off slightly this week. We have seen 3 John Dory's in recent weeks which have been a pleasant suprise.
Inshore fishing has been pretty yough to be honest certainly for the flatfish, Some cracking breaming in May boades well for the next month or so when they should reappear for the summer. Some nice rays, Tope, Huss and congers on the reefs for those of you that wish to anchor up. A nice early run of bass has kept things interesting on the various tidal marks with 3 doubles already boated this year with many anglers choosing to return the big fish which is wonderful to see.
Long may this weather continue and tight lines one and all, keep coming to Weymouth the country's Premier sport angling port. Top Boats, Top Skippers and Top facilities.
