Report on-board Flamer IV
JUNE 2014 - The quantity of flatty catches may not be as good as previous years but the quality is certainly there. Some Real Quality Plaice are being caught with Roger Knights catching his Personal Best weighing in at 6Ib(pictured).Roger also caught his first ever Brill on the same trip. Paul Crockett landed a 4Ib Plaice and two Turbot.Peter Gillett from Ipswich landed two Turbot with his biggest weighing 7Ib, Peter returned his other Turbot alive to grow bigger. The successful bait for the Plaice was Ragworm tipped with a strip of Ammo squid with Mackerel or Launce fillets doing best for the Turbot and Brill.

Report on-board High Flyer 2
Today forcast of light westerlys headed north in search of few mackerel hoping to find some clear water nded up on the east side if the Newarp Bank unfortunately water still murky after our 3 days of northerlys! Tried a few spots i use ended up with a handfull each plus sand eels and pesky weavers.Wasnt to be today with no sun either didnt help. Anchored up hoping for a tope or two gulls working our water seemed perfect until the wind picked up straight from the north again lumping up making things uncomfortable. Decided to head right back in off winterton where we sat reasonable ended up with couple of skate pictured here, lost another, few smoothounds and doggies came aboard. Handfull of dabs added to our collection and also few gurnard all returned but great to see. Not a bad day in all despite the weather, pleased to have few first timers on the Flyer, Buzz and James and also andy and Mick and regulars Shannon and john. Thanks alot lads much appreciated hope to see you all again soon.

Report on-board Shy-Torque III
Hi all,
View Boats Page
Been a long time since my last report which I must sincerely apologise for but I've had some serious issues going on in my life just recently. I won't bore you!
To the fishing!
The last month or two have not been overly exceptional with the cod fishing but what we have been getting has been of a reasonable stamp with cod to just over the 15lb mark. Better things around the corner now (summer) is here????!!
The shark fishing here at Whitby has yet again been good with 5 fish boated so far out of 8 trips and several fish also being lost. The best fish to press this year being Richard Furness's at around 235lb (pictured)
The weather at the moment is not playing fair at all with the wind coming out of the North for the last week or so. None of the boats have moved anywhere due to this but we are hoping for some lighter winds over the next few days, fingers crossed!!
If you fancy a trip anytime, either a general days bottom/wreck fishing or a days sharking please don't hesitate to give me a call on 07733 233352
I'll try not to leave it so long till my next reports!!
Cheers

Report on-board Just Mary
Hi All, just a quick report from last weekends two hire rod trips, Stag Party Saturday and a Family on a Day out on Sunday.

Plenty of Bream on the 'Mecca' and best one measured for the lads at 45cm, that's 18 inches of prime, in condition, bright blue, male bream and one of the lads won the pot !
We had well over 50 nice fish with all the females still full of roe and released.
Sunday, three couples from Sri Lanka, lovely people and such colourful clothes, plus four little girls from 3 to 8 years old and catching fish. 'Mecca' again and a great day out with them loving their fish almost as much as the Cricket that they are well known for. An SFP trip and a thanks to Stevie.P, Sheila, Rik and Jilly for doing a splendid job in their new 'hut on the quay' !
That's all, see you soon.....Sun's out and the solar powered phone just keeps ringing.... -

Report on-board White Maiden II

Best was the Monday morning trip with the lads from Devizes. The first three Hounds were caught at the same time, on our second mark, with the best for Pete going 22lbs! A monster freak hound! This 22lb Smoothound was released unharmed after being apprehended on very light tackle in shallow water. Awesome fishing!!! The next best went a mere 16!
That was the trend for the week with lots of Hounds giving themselves up to the hard back crab on offer.UPCOMING INDIVIDUAL SPACES ONBOARD White Maiden II
